I will be giving birth at Baylor All saints in Fort Worth. Not sure about a budget yet I just want the best support. My first couple pregnancies were rough. I’m in a season of trying to enjoy it all and make sure this time around I have endless support through my process. I need help with a birth plan. I know I want to try unmedicated, I want to set the mood in my delivery room with blue lights, aroma therapy and white noise or nature sounds. I plan to deliver using the squat bar method and I do want to use a mirror to see it all. I just want to be present, safe, healthy and feel in control.

This will be my third pregnancy but my second child - I had complications while delivering my first and thankfully had a great medical team that helped me recover. I hemorrhaged and had a uterine inversion with the placenta still attarched. They told me if I was to get pregnant again that was likely to happen during delivery and would make me high risk 1.) I plan to give birth un medicated in the hospital. My estimated budget is around 2,500 I would like someone who is more holistic. I also would like support during postpartum with belly binding and light massage and just someone checking in on me.

I’m currently looking for a daytime postpartum doula to support us during the newborn stage. My primary goal is education and hands-on guidance, rather than household help or overnight care. Specifically, I’m hoping for support with: • Helping us understand our baby’s needs and cues • Interpreting different types of crying (hunger, tiredness, overstimulation, etc.) • Teaching us how to recognize sleep cues and manage wake windows • Providing personalized guidance based on our baby’s individual patterns, rather than a rigid schedule • Supporting communication within the family so everyone is aligned on newborn care I’m especially interested in a doula who focuses on parent coaching and newborn education, and who is comfortable teaching in real time while allowing parents and family members to practice hands-on.

I'm still very unsure about all of these details and am looking to connect with a few different options to decide exactly what I want to do. I know I don't want to do it at home but think I want to do it at a birthing center as opposed to a hospital and I don't want an epidural.

We will be giving birth at the William Clements hospital with UT Southwestern. We would prefer an unmedicated vaginal birth if possible, but are happy to giving birth at the hospital in case of emergencies.
