Hi, my name is Dr. Amie Dougherty PT, DPT and clients call me “Mrs. Amie”. I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and specialize in pediatrics. I have over 10 years of pediatric home health experience helping kids gain independence to reach their fullest potential. Throughout my career I have held many roles- lead physical therapist, supervising physical therapist, mentor for new graduates and experienced clinicians, clinical instructor, and clinical manager supervising speech, occupational, and physical therapists. Why did I create Milestones At Play? I love teaching and sharing my expertise and knowledge gained over the years with families, both as a mom and therapist. It is my goal to set every kiddo and family up for success. As a mom and former stay-at-home-mom with a kiddo in therapies, I know raising littles is hard. I am here to help! I created Milestones at Play to be a resource for families, to help each kiddo be their unique self, and to help parents encourage gross motor confidence in their littles through play. My role as a counselor is to provide guidance, support, boundaries, and resources in order to help clients work towards their desired goals for counseling.

Ijeoma is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is one of few in the metro Dallas - Fort Worth area that is an American Board of Physical Therapy Certified Specialist in Women/ Men Pelvic Health (WCS), Certified Lymphedema Physical Therapist (CLT), trained Sexuality Counselor/ Coach and is a Certified Dry Needling Therapist (CIDN). She is the owner of the Center of Pelvic Excellence Physical Therapy & Wellness LLC. (COPE PT), where she provides inclusive compassionate care, knowledge and education on childbirth prep, pelvic health, sexual health, oncology and lymphedema to aid in individual optimal recovery.
