About me

I’m Rachel, a birth sister and postpartum support provider with a background in out of hospital birth, herbalism, and holistic maternal care. My work is shaped by lived experience as a freebirth mother and by years of supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum transition. I approach this work with reverence for the body’s wisdom, faith in the Most High YHWH, and a deep respect for birth and postpartum as meaningful rites of passage. I believe a mother is the expert on her own body and needs. My role is to offer steady presence, education, and practical support so you feel informed, grounded, and supported rather than managed or rushed. I focus on mental and emotional preparation, nervous system care, nourishment, and helping mothers feel held during one of the most tender seasons of life. Amana is for mothers who want care rooted in faith, discernment, and trust in their body.

Service introduction

Hi, I’m Rachel, the birth sister behind Amana. I provide birth and postpartum support for mothers who want calm, intentional care and a provider who is fully present. To protect the quality of support I offer, I work with only one birth and postpartum family per month. This allows me to give focused attention before, during, and after birth. My support includes prenatal preparation, continuous labor support, postpartum planning, mental health check ins, nourishment, light household care, and holistic guidance during the early weeks after birth. I also offer virtual coaching for mothers who want education and support from a distance. I believe mothers are their own primary care providers. My role is to support your decision making, not manage or override it. I offer a complimentary 30 minute connection call to ensure we are aligned before working together. If you’re seeking steady, mother centered support and value depth over volume, I may be a good fit.
