About me

My name is Rebekah, and it’s my honor to serve as a birth doula for women in Rocky Mount, NC and its surrounding areas. I have a passion for empowering women during some of the most memorable and pivotal moments of their lives! My own 4 birth experiences motivated me to become a birth doula who would support the whole woman, and so I began supporting other women in labor and became a certified Birth Doula through CBI (Childbirth International). I have a strong desire for every woman to be able to make informed decisions in pregnancy and labor, and will walk alongside my clients as they navigate this life-changing season. I will work with my clients to make an educated birth plan, and then help them use their birth plan in labor as much as possible. I love running, fitness, and nutrition and enjoy helping my clients achieve all of their prenatal health goals. I realize that each woman and each pregnancy are different, and I adapt my services to meet the needs of each of my clients. Whether this is your first birth or your eighth, I believe that you deserve to labor in a safe, supported, and encouraging space. I also have a BA in English and appreciate the beauty of the written word. If a client desires, I will write a detailed description of her birth story as a keepsake and a way for her to remember each moment.

Service introduction

I like to initially connect with potential clients to make sure that I am the right fit for what they are needing during their pregnancy and labor. Once you book me, we will meet to discuss your birth plan and all that you are learning in your childbirth classes. We discuss everything from nutrition and prenatal exercise to what to expect once you arrive at the hospital. I am always available to my clients for any questions or concerns throughout their pregnancy. I provide emotional and physical support during active labor, staying with my client until baby is delivered, has breastfed, and mom feels safe and comfortable. I write a beautiful birth story describing every stage of the labor process so that the parents can remember every detail. I follow up with my clients after delivery to discuss any postnatal concerns and check in on the health of mom and baby. I love providing empathetic, empowering care and support to moms throughout every stage of their pregnancy and labor journeys.
