About me

Robin loves all aspects of being a doula and supporting clients through pregnancy and preparing for labor. She has found a niche in prenatal and birth support with the addition of birth photography. It is an incredible honor to share her clients' birth story through photographs and document their first chapter of their child's life on earth. She also enjoy supporting her clients when they are home with their baby for the first night postpartum. Several of her birth clients have hired her to stay overnight during those first days at home to help them get the sleep they need by caring for baby and helping set up the essential supplies to care for their newborn. Since she was a young child, she has always felt the desire to care for others. Robin created Within Motherhood after answering the call to support women on their journey into motherhood.

Robin is a birth and postpartum doula providing support from prenatal planning, labor and birth, and postpartum recovery and support. Robin is also a professional photographer with over twenty years of experience as a photojournalist. She offers her photography as an add on for maternity, birth, and newborn sessions. Robin offers 2-3 prenatal appointments with clients to plan out their birth intentions, educate clients on birth and breastfeeding as well as newborn care. Robin is on call during the final four weeks of pregnancy and is available to advise and assist clients as needed.

Birth and Labor Support

Hiring Within Motherhood as your birth doula provides you with the emotional and physical support needed for the experience of laboring and birthing your baby. Working with Robin through your pregnancy to prepare for baby helps to ease some of the stress and responsibilities for preparing for a new baby. What Is Included: - Complimentary 30-minute intro phone consultation - Three prenatal visits with Robin (One remote via zoom and two in-person) - Creation of and review of your birth plan - Doula advice regarding pregnancy and birth and labor. - Unlimited check-ins via text and email in the final four weeks of pregnancy. - Labor and Birth Doula Support in-person within your home and at the hospital. - Robin's support continues for two hours after birth to help new parents settle in/get comfortable. - Postpartum visit within your home two weeks after birth as a wellness check.
