Hello! My husband and I are looking for a Tricare covered doula to help support our home birth in February!

I am an IVF patient that isn't quite conceived yet, but I have my embryo transfer on December 9th , so even though it isn't forsake that I will be pregnant then, I want to start looking into doulas now. I want one that Is kind and patient but advocates for what I want more than what they think is best. I want one that understands me possibly wanting an epidural and also the struggles that I have faces to get where I am. I plan to give birth in a hospital, I have insurance that I plan on using with my progeny benefit. I want a calm environment with lights, and calm music , I want counter pressures, and birthing combs or essential oils used if possible.

This will be my second birth, my first born was a vaginal delivery, as I plan this one to be. With her, I was in labor for 44 hours and had an epidural and Pitocin. This time around, I would like neither of those things, I would not like my water to be broken, I do not want the baby to be pulled out using a vacuum or forceps. I do not want immediate corn clamping, I want it to be completely white and done pulsing before cut. Our baby will not leave the room unless her dad or I go with her. I am just looking to be as educated and supported in having a natural and unmedicated birth as possible.

Hi! I am just over 9 weeks pregnant with my first, and hope to have hybrid care between my maternity physician and a doula at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. I really need someone who will be coaching me through this, a familiar face with me at the time of birth and postpartum support. I am predisposed to postpartum depression. I am open to budget. Quite honestly, I'm not sure about a birth plan yet- I've never done this before. At this point, I'm leaning towards an epidural; I'm worried about tearing… I lean towards body positioning and holistic support to help my body have a smoother delivery. I hope this is helpful! Hello! I recently had a quite traumatic C-section and recovery experience. I found I am pregnant 3 months after giving birth, my doctor informed me with the right support I will be able to have a successful V-bac. This would make my pregnancies almost 12 months apart. I am so determined to have a successful V-bac and would love help, experience, and guidance throughout this journey to make it the most successful. My C-section was not warranted, I was not told my baby was sunny side up until I was pushing, then I was pushed into a csection . Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t of had one.

I just found out I am pregnant. I am looking for a female health provider to take me on as a patient during my pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. I am interested in looking at a more natural route of childbirth. I will need to get my 8-12 week scan and all scans following. I started taking prenatals today. I would like to give birth at a birthing center. I have no concept of cost and would like more information on that.
