Pregnant with second baby. Trying for a VBAC. Will be delivering at Beverly hospital. I am hoping to use my insurance to cover cost, reimbursement is fine. I would like to go into labor spontaneously and have a medicated birth. Looking for a birth doula to offer support during labor and delivery.
I plan to give birth in a hospital ( Anna Jaques).
I am planning to give birth at Salem Hospital. I am open to epidural, my birth plan is to deliver naturally with the hope of my delivery going as smoothly as possible.
Hospital 20-25$ I don’t have a birth plan, I need advise and no family support. Just me and my husband.
Planning on giving birth in a hospital (Salem Hospital). My company offers up to $5,000 towards doula services, but I would need everything in contract and paid by the end of the year because this benefit will be ending. In order to qualify, my doula would need to meet at least one of the following requirements: - DONA or CAPPA - Demonstrated training + experience through NY and/or CA state(s) affiliation - For Doulas who don't have state association: Training and/or experience requirement with attestation of 24+ training hours, 5+ observed births My ideal birth would be un-medicated vaginal birth utilizing natural pain management techniques. I would like to have the ability to labor and birth in different positions, depending what feels right to me instinctively. This will be my first birth, so I am looking for some assurance and coaching perhaps, but cringe at the idea of a team yelling at me to push at a time that doesn’t feel quite right. I am open to it, but don’t think I will want to birth in supine position. I’d like to learn a lot more about how babies naturally move throughout the birth process, and change positions to help my baby descend. I also was told at my last ultrasound that at the moment, the placenta is touching my cervix, so it will need to move in order to have a vaginal birth. My doctors seemed fairly confident that it will move as my uterus stretches. If possible, I would like to avoid both induction and c section.
LABOR & BIRTH PLAN (HOSPITAL) I am planning a hospital birth and desire the most natural, physiologic birth possible. My goal is an unmedicated vaginal birth. I wish to avoid a cesarean section and would like to decline epidural anesthesia, Pitocin induction or augmentation, and other routine interventions unless medically necessary. Please do not offer epidural or Pitocin unless I specifically request them. I prefer a calm, low-intervention environment with limited people in the room. I do not consent to students or unnecessary staff being present. I request minimal cervical exams, performed only when clinically necessary rather than on a routine schedule. I prefer intermittent fetal monitoring rather than continuous monitoring, as continuous monitoring is not necessary in a low-risk pregnancy and may increase the likelihood of unnecessary interventions. After birth, I request immediate and uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact with my baby. I request delayed cord clamping until the umbilical cord is white and limp, allowing for full placental blood transfer to support oxygenation, circulation, and iron stores. I request a full golden hour after birth with no routine exams, weighing, or procedures, and for nonessential staff to leave the room to allow uninterrupted bonding. I do not consent to controlled cord traction or routine fundal massage unless there is excessive bleeding or a medical indication. I am declining erythromycin eye ointment, as I have tested negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia. I plan to delay the Vitamin K injection until after the golden hour and initial bonding. I request that no Vitamin K be administered without my explicit consent, and that I be asked before any timing or administration. My goal is an informed, respectful birth with shared decision-making and evidence-based care.

My husband is Haitian this is his first child but he doesn’t speak English and I’m afraid he won’t understand my needs when communicating with nurses and staff during delivery. I’m due in July I need someone who speaks our language. I just plan on heading immediately to hospital when it’s time. I live really close to Melrose Wakefield where I am being seen. I need to know also if insurance would cover this
