As a dedicated advocate, passionate follower of God, and accomplished entrepreneur, I find joy in bringing people together. By day, I’m a writer and aspiring politician; by night, I’m a compassionate doula supporting families through transformative moments. Rooted in a deep love for community, I actively engage with organizations that empower women and girls, connecting them to vital resources and opportunities. Birth is a transformative journey that deeply affects an individual on emotional, physical, and spiritual levels. I believe that preparing for and experiencing birth empowers and illuminates not only women, but everyone involved in the process.

I honestly can’t say enough great things about Doula Kayanna James. She was recommended to me by a family member, and from the very first conversation, I could tell why she’s so loved and respected in the community. From start to finish, she was such a calming, supportive presence throughout my pregnancy and birth experience. Kayanna went above and beyond to make sure I felt prepared, confident, and cared for. She signed me up for classes that taught me so much about labor and what to expect as a first-time mom, things I would have never known otherwise. When it came time to give birth, she was right there with me, offering amazing tips and techniques to help me cope through the pain and stay focused. Her voice, her encouragement, and her gentle guidance helped me stay grounded through every contraction. What really stood out to me was how much she truly cares. She checked in on me before and after the birth, making sure I was healing well and adjusting to motherhood. It didn’t feel like I was working with a service; it felt like I had someone in my corner who genuinely wanted the best for me and my baby. If you’re thinking about having a doula, I can’t recommend Kayanna James enough. She’s knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly dedicated to the families she supports. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows in every way. I’m beyond grateful for her guidance and care, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

It is my pleasure to serve as a doula with love for my neighbor, respect for the philology of birth, and pride in my community. I am here to assist birthing parents and partners with receiving the prenatal and postpartum care they deserve, and to assist with protecting the memories of pregnancy and birth.

I am a birth doula trained by Warm Welcome Birth Services. I am a registered MassHealth provider, which means if you are a member, my services will be covered by state insurance. Informed by my experience seeing the homebirths of my two younger siblings (and being born at home with a midwife myself), I believe that everyone giving birth deserves to feel seen, heard, and respected, no matter where they give birth. In my work, I value autonomy and informed consent. I am committed to providing trauma-informed, inclusive, and justice-oriented care for all, including people of color, queer and trans folks, disabled people, and those belonging to all types of family structures. I'm also happy to talk about how to center faith/spirituality in birthing experiences!

Hi! My name is Becca. I am here for you to help you have an empowering birth and early parenthood experience! I love supporting people, and have a deep passion for birth work! In my work as a doula, I love incorporating mindfulness and confidence building to help my clients thrive. I find that these practices help clients build trust in their bodies and in themselves, as individuals and as parents, and connects them to their inner strength. Some fun facts about me: I love dancing, watching movies, and I am an animal lover! As a child, I grew up on a small farm. My cat Boo is my child. And I even walk dogs and pet sit on the side of my doula business!

Recent review

I can’t say enough good things about Becca! From the very beginning, she was there to help me prepare both physically and emotionally. She’s not only incredibly knowledgeable but also so fun and kind, which made the whole process feel a lot less overwhelming. Becca helped me build muscle memory for key movements that would be useful during labor. But she made sure I was not overwhelmed with too much information to be able to stay in “laborland” as she calls. She guided me in identifying and addressing my fears before birth. Acknowledging those fears ahead of time gave me a sense of peace I didn’t even realize I needed. She also helped me create a value-based birth plan, ensuring it was respected by the hospital team (which was not standard care in the hospital!) During labor, Becca was absolutely incredible. She stayed with us for 24 hours straight (or maybe more? I lost track of time after a while lol), supporting not just me but my husband too by helping him to help me. Her positive energy made a huge impact. She created a calm, cozy space with her electric candles and soft voice where I felt safe and protected. She moved with me and held space. When a doctor dismissed my needs and concerns, Becca was right there to advocate for me and made sure my voice was heard. Her advice on pushing positions and paced pushing helped turn my baby, who was in a side position, allowing me to give birth vaginally without tearing!- which was one of my fears. Even after labor, when I felt completely drained and defeated, Becca was there with her positive, reassuring words. She kept reminding me of how strong I had been, especially when I stood up for myself when some of the providers weren’t as responsive as they should’ve been. It helped me to rewrite my birth story and made it a story of empowerment! Becca’s kindness, fun personality, and ability to create such a positive environment gave me the confidence to believe in myself. I truly don’t know how I would have gotten through the experience without her, and I’ll always be so grateful for the positive impact she had on me and my birth!

Hello parents! I am a newborn care specialist and postpartum doula. I have been working with infants for over 30 years. I am originally from England . My passion is supporting families as they welcome new littles into their home.

Re: Diane Sirpenski/Newborn Care Specialist To Whom It May Concern: I am writing in regard to Diane Sirpenski, whom I have known and hired as my newborn care specialist for all three of my kids. I believe Diane is the best and always my FIRST choice for the above cited position. I have known Diane since November 2017, when I first hired her as the newborn care specialist for my first-born son who is now 2.5 years old. Her position with us lasted about 12 weeks wherein she provided nighttime care for our then 2-month-old son. She would show up promptly at 10:00 pm, (NEVER TARDY!), always easing my nerves being that I was a first-time mom. Diane always answered all my first-time mom questions and always had super helpful tips handy. She was very up to date with the latest trends and knowledge regarding baby care so I knew I could trust her advice. She took detailed care notes throughout the night regarding feedings, diaper changes, and sleep periods. When I got pregnant with my twin girls in February 2019 Diane was the only choice for me. I reached out to her immediately to securely lock in her help! She got me through my first few months with my first born with so much ease, I knew I needed her around for my biggest challenge yet. Throughout my pregnancy, Diane often reached out to me to check in and chat. She sent me twin tips and intel she gathered from all her vast experience. She was of course up to date on all the must haves to alleviate the first few months with newborns. Even though I had a relationship with Diane from my prior pregnancy this certainly helped establish and further our relationship. This was important since she would be spending a lot time with us once the babies arrived. Diane showed up on our first night home with the twins at the end of September 2019 and immediately dove into the task and challenges of a nighttime routine with not one newborn but two! She showed skill, expertise and most importantly compassion towards the girls and the position. She quickly became part of our family and we loved having her around. She showed the same professionalism as she did when we met her the first time around- always punctual and reliable. Her hygiene paralleled that of a nurse, which of course is a top priority. I had restful nights knowing the girls were in great care. Newborn twins are as tough as it gets- and she made it look easy. The girls started sleeping through the night at 6 months old and never wake each other up. We have Diane to thank for helping us get through it. In summary, I would highly recommend Diane as the BEST choice for any newborn care specialist position and strongly encourage any family to jump at the opportunity in hiring her. Please free to contact me should you have any specific questions regarding Diane’s qualifications. I would be more than happy to further discuss her outstanding qualifications.

Hi Mamas! I'm Ally, a mama of two boys, registered nurse, and doula. The newborn phase is a precious and transformative time in your parenthood journey. It can also come with an overwhelming change and stress. As a doula, I support families through this transition, prioritizing your space, comfort, and recovery in the early postpartum. Each family's care is individualized to best meet your needs.

I don't think there are enough words to describe how grateful I felt to having received Ally's help before baby arrived, and first month. Before my son arrived she helped me prepare his nursery. We went over my hospital bag, my birth plan, my goals for postpartum. This was my second pregnancy and delivery was a emergency C-section. She helped educate me on post care for my healing. I had no knowledge on healing for a C-section, it wasn't on remotely on my birth plan. She would check my incision, gave me tips on care, exercises and massages(for when I got clearance). I really struggled my first month with breastfeeding and if I didn't have Ally's advice, knowledge and assistance with latching on I don't think I would've continued breastfeeding. After I nursed my son and he was settled I could nap and she would watch over him, do light cleaning, wake me for next feeding, and even gave a light snack. She was extremely patient, knowledgeable and a wonderful listener. Moments that I felt overwhelmed she was able to listen and give me support and remind me I'm doing great. I am a single mom of two. Having her services helped me so much. Thank you Ally for helping me and my babyboy, truly. You gave me the confidence, support and guidance I really needed. You're amazing! I recommend all mamas to work with Ally's! I can't wait to have baby number 3! Thank you Ally again!

Hi, I’m Kathleen Stern—a certified postpartum and birth doula, certified infant feeding specialist and an IBCLC candidate (international board certified lactation consultant), expecting to be certified in 2026. I love working with parents to offer real-time relief and practical tips and to remind them that they’re doing a great job. My goal is to build your confidence and provide relief so that you feel better when my visit ends. Whether you’re a first-time parent feeling nervous/excited or thinking “I don’t know what I don’t know,” or a seasoned parent looking for some more relief this time around, I’ve got you! Prior to working with infants and families, I earned a Masters in Teaching and had a rewarding 15-year education career— teaching students (mostly middle school English), coaching teachers, and helping others recognize their own strengths. I got into the perinatal world after I had a colicky baby in 2014 and was filled with exhaustion, self-doubt, and conflicting advice from well-meaning family and friends. I knew there must be a better way. For my second baby, I worked with a postpartum doula to provide me with the nonjudgmental, hands-on support I knew I would need. The difference between my first and second postpartum experiences prompted me to become a doula and lactation professional. My best advice for expecting families is, “Reach out for help before you think you need it. You're not supposed to be able to do this by yourself.” I live in the North Shore with my 11 and 8 year-old daughters and labradoodle. When I’m not with my family or holding babies, I love to garden, be active, and be by the water.

Hi! I'm Naomi. I am a Certified Practitioner Midwife choosing to focus on providing birth and postpartum doula support. I keep my Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) cards active at all times. I am currently in the process of becoming certified as a postpartum doula. I believe that if women/birthing persons and their babies were truly supported in the way they most need, we would have peace on Earth. I decided to become a midwife and doula because I want to make the world a better place, and I believe the way to do that is to bring compassionate support to mothers and their babies. I received my training through Maternidad La Luz (birth center on the US/Mexico border) and the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA). I have attended around 150 births and have provided care for many newborns. I currently run Little Angel Doula and work part time as a midwife assistant for a local home birth practice. My philosophy centers around trusting the birthing body and trusting the process of transition into parenthood. I am a firm believer in the power of gentle touch and calm words, good rest, good nourishment, and laughter. I have confidence in my heart and my hands to be there for you and your child.
