About Naomi

Hi! I'm Naomi. I am a Certified Practitioner Midwife choosing to focus on providing birth and postpartum doula support. I keep my Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) cards active at all times. I am currently in the process of becoming certified as a postpartum doula. I believe that if women/birthing persons and their babies were truly supported in the way they most need, we would have peace on Earth. I decided to become a midwife and doula because I want to make the world a better place, and I believe the way to do that is to bring compassionate support to mothers and their babies. I received my training through Maternidad La Luz (birth center on the US/Mexico border) and the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA). I have attended around 150 births and have provided care for many newborns. I currently run Little Angel Doula and work part time as a midwife assistant for a local home birth practice. My philosophy centers around trusting the birthing body and trusting the process of transition into parenthood. I am a firm believer in the power of gentle touch and calm words, good rest, good nourishment, and laughter. I have confidence in my heart and my hands to be there for you and your child.

What to expect

Greetings. I believe birth and postpartum are meant to be empowering, and that you deserve professional support during this beautiful yet challenging time in your life. It is my role as your doula to ease your transitions and bring joy to your experience. I can help to raise your self-esteem, ease your mind, and bring warmth to your physical world. I offer labor assistance services in any setting and compassionate, respectful postpartum care (days or nights) at home for up to twelve weeks.
