Sometimes. Check with your plan. More major insurance companies are beginning to cover or reimburse for CPMs providing home birth services.

Do I need to see an OB or CNM for prenatal care?

No, I provide full prenatal care services, including lab work and referrals for ultrasound scans. Some clients choose to arrange tandem care with a medical based practice, but most of my clients see me exclusively for prenatal care.

What is the schedule for prenatal and postpartum visits?

Visits follow the standard schedule, which is: Once per month until 28 weeks Every two weeks between 28 weeks and 36 weeks Every week from 36 weeks until baby is born Postpartum Visits: One day after birth Three days after birth One week after birth Two weeks after birth Six weeks after birth
