Balanced Pelvic Health provides holistic, person-centered solutions to pelvic health dysfunctions such as bladder leakage, bowel dysfunctions like constipation or fecal incontinence, and pelvic pain or sexual dysfunction. Supporting birthing people and their partners throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period is my passion!

Does Balanced Pelvic Health accept insurance?

Balanced Pelvic Health LLC is an out of network provider with all insurances at this time. Please check with your insurance provider to determine your out of network benefits, and the process of submitting a claim. Payment is due at the time of service. We are happy to provide you with an itemized receipt/superbill, and supportive documentation to submit to your insurance for reimbursement based on your out of network benefits. We accept cash, check, major credit cards, FSA, and HSA as forms of payment.

What conditions can Balanced Pelvic Health help me with?

Common pelvic health conditions may include: Urinary leakage (leaking when you cough, sneeze, lift something, walk or run, or leaking on your way to the bathroom) Urinary frequency and/or urgency Nocturia (getting up in the middle of the night to pee) Constipation Bowel leakage/fecal incontinence Pelvic pain Pain with intercourse and/or gynecological exams or tests Postpartum cesarean section recovery, recovery from perineal tears Pain related to pregnancy, or postpartum pain Safe continuation of, or return to activities during the pregnant and postpartum period Diastasis recti (separation of the abdominal muscles)

What is pelvic health?

Pelvic health is a broad term that refers to the state of well-being and optimal functioning of the structures and systems within the pelvis, including the bladder, reproductive organs, and rectum. Pelvic health involves the proper functioning and coordination of these organs, as well as the surrounding muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues. Maintaining good pelvic health is crucial for a range of bodily functions, such as urinary and bowel control, sexual function, and support for the core and lower body. Pelvic health can influence, and be influenced by various factors, including pregnancy and childbirth, aging, trauma, hormonal changes, and certain medical conditions.

What is occupational therapy?

Occupational therapy is a healthcare profession that helps individuals of all ages enhance their ability to engage in meaningful activities (or occupations) that are important to them. Do I need a doctor’s order to receive services?

At Balanced Pelvic Health, we take a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to your health and well-being. While an order from a physician is not required for services, it is highly advisable that you obtain one prior to an evaluation for the following reasons: An order from a physician allows for open communication between you pelvic floor occupational therapist and the provider, and increases the resources available for follow-up on your condition. Many insurance companies require an order for reimbursement; having one will increase the likelihood of reimbursement if you plan to submit a bill for out-of-network benefits.
