My goal is a low-intervention birth with freedom to move during labor, use natural comfort measures, minimal cervical checks when appropriate, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin-to-skin contact, and uninterrupted bonding time after birth. I would prefer to avoid induction solely for convenience or to speed up labor and do not want to feel pressured into a cesarean birth unless it is medically necessary. I would also like time to discuss and make informed decisions regarding newborn procedures and injections, rather than having them performed immediately after birth.
