I zoned into it and fell in love so hard that I can talk about babies and birth any time of any day. In labor, I rejoice in seeing a woman break free in her body and focus on the bond with her baby. My journey began in 2014, after watching the documentary, The Business of Being Born. I was shocked at how medical and sterile birth had become and how unfairly some pregnant people are treated. From there, I spent the next three years devouring anything and everything related to birth. I attended my first birth as a doula (unknowingly) in 2017 when my goddaughter was born, and I fell in love with doula work. I married my husband in late 2017, and in early 2019 I found out I was pregnant with my first child. My pregnancy was one of the most enjoyable times of my life. I gave birth vaginally in a hospital transfer from Atlanta Birth Center, to Atlanta Medical Center in November 2019. I have my birth team to thank for solidifying my passion for other people to have the experience I was blessed with. ​I believe information is our greatest tool. I will provide you with evidence-based information from a holistic standpoint. Outside of being a doula, I love to travel. I enjoy visiting new and familiar places with my family. I am 26 years old, and am a registered nurse currently working nightshift in the postpartum unit helping both moms and newborn babies. I have 5+ years of previous nanny experience before I attended college, and I have also worked in a preschool/daycare setting with children ages 6weeks-12yrs. Due to my profession, I have expert knowledge of newborn safety and feeding practices. I am also trained in lactation techniques. Postpartum care is also included in my profession. I can answer questions, help with positioning, and help change pads or check for bleeding if needed. Newborn babies are my passion, and I am so happy to be working in a field where I get to help and educate families all night long.
