About me
HIYA FRIEND! I ENJOY HELPING MOMS KNOW THEIR STRENGTH IN BIRTH & HOW TO REST IN POSTPARTUM. When I started studying birth work, I knew it was my calling. I zoned into it and fell in love so hard that I can talk about babies and birth any time of any day. In labor, I rejoice in seeing a woman break free in her body and focus on the bond with her baby. In postpartum, I treasure getting to see a family welcome their newest member + seeing mom resting and healing.

With Twyned Doulas by your side, you can navigate your new motherhood with confidence, knowing that your birth story will be marked by warmth, informed consent, and a woman who will coach you the whole way. You will have the advice and comfort needed to guide you into feeling confident as a mother and embrace this new life of yours.

Essential Beginnings
- Unlimited round-the-clock support via email, text, and phone for four weeks postpartum, so you can get all your questions answered and receive suggestions and support.
- I’m on call 24/7 starting at 38 weeks, leaving no stone unturned to make your big day as smooth as possible.
- Two prenatal visits, each spanning around two hours, to assess your needs and desires for birth, understand each other’s expectations, and equip you with handy labor tools and comfort measures.
- Taking care of and educating your partner as well so they know how to care for you in labor and postpartum
- Assistance in crafting your birth plan and helping you understand all your options.
- I’ll be with you for up to 16 hours during labor, and an extra hour or two after birth
- One postpartum follow-up visit to celebrate the new arrival and answer any questions you may have during those first, precious postpartum weeks.
- Breastfeeding support right after birth, to help your baby latch on properly and ensure breastfeeding is established.
- Access to my library of books and resources on pregnancy, birth, and baby care. Let’s make your birth experience the best it can be!

HOW DID TWYNED DOULAS BEGIN?
Twyned Doulas originated from a mother’s desire for more serene birth journeys with fewer unnecessary interventions, inspiring her to extend this possibility to others. She wants more for new soon-to-be mamas so she became a doula and breastfeeding counselor.
Megan had three different birth experiences. One with an epidural and lots of stress, one with Pitocin and back labor, and one completely natural. She understands what it is like to not have all the answers and not be given the respect she deserves.
WHAT RESOURCES WILL BE PROVIDED BESIDES SERVICES?
Access to our lending library of books which include birth, pregnancy, breastfeeding, partner support, and more.
Each client receives 4-5 workbooks about birth, postpartum, newborn care, breastfeeding, and VBAC support. These workbooks contain around 17-30 pages each and are great reference points especially for new parents.

HOW DO WE BEGIN WORKING WITH TWYNED DOULAS?
To start your journey with Twyned Doulas, the first step is for us to meet and connect. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and see if we’re a perfect match for your needs and aspirations. Once we decide that we’re a great fit and ready to move forward, we’ll sign our contract together, and a retainer of $250 will be due.
Once these steps are completed, our services will officially begin, and we’ll be honored to join you on this beautiful path toward welcoming your new addition to the family.
