Hi ◡̈ I'm Megan, Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula and Breastfeeding Counselor based in Paulding County, Georgia. After my own birth experiences, I became passionate about offering informed choices to new parents and supporting maternal mental health. I'm here to protect the memory of your birth experience & provide graceful steps into parenthood. Outside of birth work, I love getting outdoors with my three children and husband. A hammock, the lake, and a sweet iced coffee are my favorite!

Essential Beginnings

- Unlimited round-the-clock support via email, text, and phone for four weeks postpartum, so you can get all your questions answered and receive suggestions and support. - I’m on call 24/7 starting at 38 weeks, leaving no stone unturned to make your big day as smooth as possible. - Two prenatal visits, each spanning around two hours, to assess your needs and desires for birth, understand each other’s expectations, and equip you with handy labor tools and comfort measures. - Taking care of and educating your partner as well so they know how to care for you in labor and postpartum - Assistance in crafting your birth plan and helping you understand all your options. - I’ll be with you for up to 16 hours during labor, and an extra hour or two after birth - One postpartum follow-up visit to celebrate the new arrival and answer any questions you may have during those first, precious postpartum weeks. - Breastfeeding support right after birth, to help your baby latch on properly and ensure breastfeeding is established. - Access to my library of books and resources on pregnancy, birth, and baby care. Empowerment Package

- Unlimited access via email, text, and phone round the clock, for up to 6 weeks postpartum. - Three prenatal visits to assess your needs and aspirations for birth, equip you with valuable tools for labor, and ensure we’re on the same page. - Taking care of and educating your partner as well so they know how to care for you in labor and postpartum - Customized birth plan assistance to help you clarify your preferences and understand your options. - Labor support of up to 20 hours, with an extra 1-2 hours after birth, to make sure your transition to motherhood is smooth. - Two postpartum follow-up visits to celebrate your baby’s arrival and help you settle in during the early postpartum period. -Initial breastfeeding support right after birth to ensure your baby gets off to a great start. - Access to our lending library, bursting with resources and books about pregnancy, birth, and baby care.

We’ve got your back! → Let us take the load off with organizational support, including meal prep, grocery runs, laundry, cleaning, and dishwashing. → Still processing your birth story? Let’s talk it out and work through it together. → Unlimited phone & email support during our time together, i.e. you want 20 hours postpartum broken up over one month then we will be there with phone and email support during that one month. 4 Hour Minimum

WHAT RESOURCES WILL BE PROVIDED BESIDES SERVICES?

Access to our lending library of books which include birth, pregnancy, breastfeeding, partner support, and more. Each client receives 4-5 workbooks about birth, postpartum, newborn care, breastfeeding, and VBAC support. These workbooks contain around 17-30 pages each and are great reference points especially for new parents. Community resources

If you are not happy with any of the packages, we can discuss what you are looking for over the phone and put together a package that works for you.

HOW DO WE BEGIN WORKING WITH TWYNED DOULAS?

To start your journey with Twyned Doulas, the first step is for us to meet and connect. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and see if we’re a perfect match for your needs and aspirations. Once we decide that we’re a great fit and ready to move forward, we’ll sign our contract together, and a retainer of $250 will be due. Once these steps are completed, our services will officially begin, and we’ll be honored to join you on this beautiful path toward welcoming your new addition to the family.

HOW DID TWYNED DOULAS BEGIN?

Twyned Doulas originated from a mother’s desire for more serene birth journeys with fewer unnecessary interventions, inspiring her to extend this possibility to others. She wants more for new soon-to-be mamas so she became a doula and breastfeeding counselor. Megan had three different birth experiences. One with an epidural and lots of stress, one with Pitocin and back labor, and one completely natural. She understands what it is like to not have all the answers and not be given the respect she deserves.
