Rhonda is a birth doula, childbirth educator, doula trainer & mentor, BIPOC birthworker connector and pelvic steam facilitator. She refers to herself as a lactation champion because of her passion for helping families feed their babies. Serving families in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, Rhonda loves helping parents realize their strength and ability. It is her desire to help families understand their rights and options so they feel empowered to advocate for themselves. Before entering birth work, she spent two decades working to support healthy families. Her career has included working as an after-school program director, healthy relationships/sexual health educator, community connector for an elementary school, homeless shelter co-facilitator and leading teen mission trips.
"Most of us did not learn when we were young that our capacity to be self-loving would be shaped by the work we do and whether that work enhances our well-being." – bell hooks. This is a quote that has stuck with me as I explore my career path. Becoming a doula is something I did not follow through with until the murder of George Floyd. Seeing the striking images of pregnant Black mothers protesting around the country ignited the fire in me to finally complete my training to become a certified perinatal educator - meaning I can provide childbirth education, prenatal support, labor and delivery support, lactation support, and newborn care support. But my calling to birth work started on the day I was born with my mother being hospitalized for 2 months postpartum from an avoidable mistake during an emergency c-section. I value empathy, collaboration, and being open minded. As a doula, I am intentional about serving my clients in a way that supports self-empowerment, so they feel they have all the information they feel they need to make the best decision for them and their baby/babies. I do not shy away from vulnerability, and I believe this allows me to have relationships with my clients built on trust.
I love what I Do-ULA! My passion is for women, children and families and how to keep them together. I enjoy working with clients, families, teen parents, diverse populations, and community organization to help develop ways to tap into the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being. I am a Certified Doula (8 + years), Certified Lactation Specialist, Mentor, Yoga Instructor, and Motivational Speaker. I would love to answer any more questions you may have otherwise I'm available for a free consultation. I look forward to hearing from you.

I became a bit "birth obsessed" and couldn't get enough of reading the latest evidence. I decided to put my passion towards a new career path and pursue being a postpartum doula. I have 2 kids, a husband, a cat and dog. We love to go on adventures looking for new places and parks to visit as well as finding good local coffee and donut shops. My hobbies include baking, cooking and gardening as well as anything outdoors! I have also been a pediatric occupational therapist since 2015 and love my job helping kids and their families reach maximum potential and coach on ways to adapt and modify environments to meet the child where they are at! I serve the Wright county and surrounding areas of MN

At Lullaby Nest, we believe that the first five years of a child’s life are fundamentally important for their development so we work closely with families to provide guidance and education while also being respectful and understanding of diverse parenting styles and comfort levels around the sleep training process. We use a holistic approach as we learn about the whole child in order to create unique and appropriate plans. We then walk closely alongside each family until they’ve reached their sleep goals." ~Lullaby Nest Team
Hi! I'm Bria. I'm a wife and a mama to three little humans, foodie, traveler, and outdoors-lover. I'm also a birth doula and Lamaze childbirth educator. My interest in birth work began after my second baby was born. My passion is in supporting people in their journey to parenthood. Everyone wants to hold the baby.... I'm here to hold the parent[s]! After hearing countless testimonies from birthing people who wish they'd known more before giving birth, I decided to become a doula. My goal is to INFORM, ASSIST, and EMPOWER pregnant people, so that they go into their birth feeling confident and supported. As a doula, I support all birth. Whether you're planning a home birth in a tub, or a C-section in a hospital, I'm here for it. The most important thing to me is that we develop mutual trust, and that you feel comfortable with me by your side. My personality is pretty type-A, and I love numbers and evidence. One of my goals as a doula and childbirth educator is to make sure my clients always know their options, and understand the risks/benefits of the decisions they make. My childbirth ed course is designed to teach you ALL of your birthing options - not just your hospital's "policies". I'm excited to connect with you, and work with you during this lifechanging time!
As motherhood advocates, we strive to bring forth all the experiences of motherhood, including the many ambivalent feelings we all have. We are also infant sleep educators and specialists. Trained through a neuroscience and attachment lens, we support families and the needs of infants. We educate on biologically normal infant sleep and work to optimize sleep and wellbeing for the whole family. We are sleep supporters not sleep trainers!
