Holistic nutritional full circle doula, Lorenda provides educational, emotional, and physical support to moms and their support team through their journey of parenthood. She received her certificate as community-based doula at Black Mothers Breastfeeding Association (BMBFA) in 2018 and trained as a full circle doula with Shafia Monroe Consulting, 2022. In January 2023, Lorenda became a Medicaid Provider as a doula, and trains other doulas to become Medicaid providers for the state of Michigan. As a leader, Lorenda serves on the Doula Advisory Council with the State of Michigan and is the president at Motor City Doula Association where she leads monthly meet ups with other doulas in the community.

With over 16 years of experience in administration, early childhood education, and pediatric healthcare, caring for others is truly my specialty. I took a leap of faith to become a ProDoula-certified Labor, Birth, Postpartum, and Infant Care Doula because this is not just a job for me—it's my calling. I am also CPR/AED/First Aid certified, as well as HIPAA and OSHA compliant. In my free time, I cherish moments with my husband and our two children, creating lifelong memories together. I like working with kids because I am the oldest of the 5 girls and I work in the hospitals in the pediatric float pool assisting the nurses and families. I have been working with children that have been in the nicu all the way up to teenagers. I started working with kids when I was in my teenage years, but I professionally started working when them while I was in college and I still am enrolled in college right now In my spare time, I like to find new hobbies, travel, and hang out with friends or family One thing you should know about me is I always go above and beyond to help people and that is my main goal with anything I do. My career in the end is to continue you helping people, which is why I'm working on getting my degrees is social work and nursing. My skills include customer service, working with elderly, and working with children. I have my CNA license in Michigan and Ohio, then I also have my phlebotomy license.

For the past 7 years I have bee helping new parents during the 4th trimester after they welcome their new baby home.
