About me
Grace and Peace*my name is Taysha Turman and I 'am a certified birth worker. I received my training in Minnesota but I 'am now based in KCMO. To sum up, why I chose birth work? I know how it feels to have gained and lost. That lost reshaped my life, my spirit and the way I understand love, resilience and care. In the depths of grief, I learned how vital it is to be truly seen, supported, and protected during life’s most vulnerable moments. Birth and loss exist side by side, and walking through both taught me that a compassionate presence can be as powerful as any intervention. Becoming a birth doula is an extension of that love—love that did not disappear but transformed into service. My work is rooted in advocacy, protection, and trauma‑informed care, ensuring families feel safe, heard, and empowered in their choices.

I'm currently working to be Medicaid approved, for any women that are looking for support with their insurance. With that being said I offer affordable services. low to no cost support as I settle down in KCMO. In the near future I will be more solid on pricing. I would love to connect with you. I'm offering a serene birth experience, you will be heard, supported and catered to.
