My mission is to provide compassionate care and reliable information during your late pregnancy, labor, birth, and early postpartum period, ensuring that you feel supported and empowered every step of the way. Every birthing person deserves a steady hand and a listening ear, and I am committed to making my services accessible to everyone, regardless of financial barriers. Quality support should be a universal right, and I strive to ensure that all who need it can receive it. My approach to doula support is deeply informed by both my personal experiences as a mother and my professional training. I completed my training with Mothertree Birth Services under the guidance of Jesse Remer, and this blend of knowledge and lived experience allows me to offer you both expert guidance and heartfelt empathy. I have been an IBCLC for over 7 years, with experience in a hospital setting. I have done in home independent consulting with families for the past 3 years as well. I am also a post-partum RN (BSN) with over 25 years experience. My goal is to make breastfeeding goals and plans with you that create success for you and baby.

When I first started in the business of helping people I worked as an alcohol and drug counselor at a residential treatment facility. I worked with and guided people from very diverse backgrounds. That work has directly applied to my ability to effectively communicate with and support others. After my time as a counselor I co-founded and currently co-own a personal training business that specializes in training folks who are pregnant and postpartum. Becoming a doula seemed like a natural next step as an extension of what I'm already passionate about doing: helping and empowering people.

Hi everyone! I am Anissa. I am a Certified Postpartum and Infant care Doula, and a Certified Pre/Postnatal Yoga Instructor. I am located in Salem, OR. I am passionate about helping others, and working with infants and children. As a new mom myself, and with years of experience as a nanny and working in daycares, I’ve gained the skills and insight to gently support other mothers through the early postpartum period and help them care for their newborns with confidence and ease. I am passionate about holistic health and wellness. In my free time I enjoy practicing yoga, staying active, going to the beach, and spending time with my family.

Dr. Abby Heppner Hodgson (pronounced Hodson) has been in practice since March of 2009. She graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri in Dec. 2008. While in school, Dr. Hodgson  was honored with awards for both Clinical Excellence and Leadership in teaching Chiropractic technique. Dr. Abby Hodgson is originally from Ft. Loramie, Ohio (near Dayton). She earned her undergraduate degree, a B.A. in Biology with a minor in Wellness from Bluffton University  in Bluffton, Ohio.  Dr. Hodgson (formerly known as Dr. Heppner) moved to Oregon after marrying Robb Heppner, a Salem native.  After 10 happy years of marriage, Robb passed away in 2018 due to brain cancer (GBM - glioblastoma multiforme).  She is the proud Mom of Eli and Zeke, now 9 and 6 y.o.  She remarried in 2020 to Michael Hodgson , a Salem native and together with his 4 children they have completed their family.  Michael is an Electrical Contractor and owner of Wire-Smart Inc.  They also have a cat named Mitsy.  The Hodgson Family enjoys camping, watching their children play sports, many remodeling projects, and selling products on Amazon together in their online store - Evergreen Family Products.

Hello everyone, my name is Jennifer and I am a birth doula and Childbirth educator. I am also a bodywork specialist who does energy work. I am trained in Reiki and reflexology and while I was in massage school I took classes in pregnancy massage and labor massage. As a birth worker my passion is to help in the bonding of the family no matter what your family looks like if it is just mother and baby, partner, spouse, or even a family member I am there to help you find your voice and ease your journey as it plays out. Sometimes we want to think we can control what our birth will look like but the little bundle inside doesn't always listen and so I want to be there to help everyone involved reach the goal. My main passion is in continuous care. I left the nursing world after seeing the effects it had on laboring women and families having to build that rapport with the care team each appointment, shift changes and I did not like that. I want to be there with your family from start to finish, one less thing to worry about and one more thing to gain comfort in.

I am a birth and postpartum doula, and I strive to provide unbiased support and empower you to make informed choices and navigate your journey to receive the birth experience you are wanting, whatever that looks like to YOU!

I have been in the medical field for 29 years. I owned care homes for 10 years. I always wanted to help expectant parents and babies. I work with our local pregnancy crisis center as well as the birthing center. I am not only a Doula, I also teach classes on what a doula means and how it can be beneficial for expectant parents. As well as also teaching birthing classes.

I'm a registered nurse, professional newborn care specialist, and postpartum doula with a love for helping new parents transition smoothly into parenthood through education, hands-on guidance, and compassion.
