I'm Karissa Muilenburg, a birth doula living in Chattanooga, TN. I've been obsessed with pregnancy and childbirth for as long as I can remember. It is my honor to be invited into such a sacred and intimate experience in a family's life. I love creating a peaceful and safe space for each person whether at home, a birth center, or a hospital. When I'm not doing birth things, I'm probably eating pizza, camping, or looking for the next dance party in town.

Daisy grew up in a small town in Alaska with her 6 siblings. She has always had a huge interest in pregnancy and birth, as she attended many of her aunts midwife prenatal visits and even one of her births at a young age. In January 2019, Daisy decided to move forward in pursuing a job in the birth worker world. She discovered what a birth doula was and soon found a certification program in Nashville TN that offered everything she was wanting. She was working in the Army as a military police at the same time as she was doing her certification, so the process took a little longer than expected but it allowed her to truly educate herself and work towards this new lifestyle for herself. When not doing birth work, Daisy enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and his three children. They do many outdoor activities to include; water parks, camping, fishing, and swimming. Daisy is certified as a labor and birth doula through Blissful Birthing TN, certified as a childbirth educator through Childbirth International, and certified as a placenta encapsulation specialist through Brilliant Birth Academy. She is also trained as a postpartum doula through Blissful Birthing TN.

I'm Hannah, I am a social worker and mother of 4 children who were all exclusively breastfed. I have attended a C-section twin birth, one home birth and two hospital vaginal births. I am new to the doula world, so I am offering lower rates, but that doesn't mean that I am unskilled or unexperienced. If there is something I don't know, I will learn. I am here to provide whatever type of birthing experience you want- to the best of my ability. My mental health back ground makes me uniquely qualified to support mothers who may be prone to postpartum depression. I also offer parenting classes and wedding officiant services.

I am a Mom to my son and daughter, and a Nana to two Princesses. A bit on the crunchy side, I enjoy organic gardening, whole foods cooking, sewing, and continuing to learn. Serving families through pregnancy, birth, and the fourth trimester is an honor and a joy. And, I enjoy a little trip to unwind when not on-call.

I am a community birth worker based in the Greater Chattanooga, TN area. I have been providing professional, community-based perinatal, postpartum, and lactation education and support since 2014. I have trained and/or been educated in multiple, complementary modalities to enhance and support the work I provide in the birthing communities that I am blessed to be apart of. Through my own pregnancies and birth experiences, in addition to the family's I have been blessed to support; I have diverse skillsets to enrich and prepare my clients for the birth experiences they envision. I myself have been blessed to be the mother of 7 and am married with a very supportive spouse. My entire adult life has been dedicated to being of service. Birthwork is a second career for me as I previously was a cosmetologist for 25 years prior to retiring in 2011. I am also a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces having honorably served 8 years in the U.S. Navy. When not working in the birth space I find enjoyment in spending quality time with family, traveling, outdoors activities, and crafting, and cooking. I enjoy research on topics centered around pregnancy and birth and it's complexities. I am a mentor to other birthworkers and apprenticing to become a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM aka "homebirth midwife").

As a newly trained doula who is still going through the certification process with Doula Trainings International, I am offering both no-cost and low-cost full-spectrum doula services based on income level. Full-spectrum doula services include fertility, abortion, birth, and postpartum doula care.
