need a lactation consultant to help get baby to latch has not latched since 1 week old due to soft nipples and help with supply advice for exclusive pumping
I am planning to give birth at home and have a midwife already, but heard some insurances cover doulas as well and wanted to check that. I would really like to breastfeed exclusively so would also like to have a lactation consultant to reach out to if needed.
I’m confused about flange size. 1m seems too small and 21mm seems too large. I was sick and started my period. I use donor milk but I want to nurse him. I want to be able to feed my baby. I want to get my supply back. I haven’t had it since was 3 weeks old. I just didn’t know what I was doing and I still don’t.
Hospital- OPR Unsure on pricing. Would like to be as natural as possible but also have idiopathic Intracranial hypertension. All depends on my condition at the time of delivery.
We are excited to bring in our first child together through our IVF journey. I am very nervous and uninformed of things that are important and actually mean something to me and my baby's development. We need guidance and advice from someone whose views are in the same line as my husband and I. Budget is negotiable. I have no birth plan because I have no clue what im really getting into.
I am wanting to go natural with this birth and also learn more about lactation to produce more milk for the baby and also know what I need to care for my baby. This is my third baby so any new tips will help. I plan to birth in a hospital but be able to Manage pain better.
I need lactation consult to help me build my milk supply up and help my baby latch and breastfeed. I don't produce enough milk
I'm looking for a lactation consultant to help with oral ties and release.
This is my second baby and I’ll be doing a repeat c-section. My first baby was born 5 weeks early and I was never able to get him to latch, so I exclusively pumped. My biggest regret is not finding a lactation consultant before the baby was born, and relying on the hospital lactation consultant who wasn’t very present or helpful. I’d like to meet with someone before the baby is born in case I have issues I have someone to call.
I am looking for an IBCLC that accepts medicaid for my 3 month old baby who is having feeding trouble. He was diagnosed as failure to thrive and was just released from the hospital. I am looking for help learning how to pump effectively and efficiently while we combine nursing and supplement with formula, with the hope of getting him completely back to the breast.
Someone who can look at baby’s latch and help diagnose any ties she may have and check for any tension she may have that is affecting the latch. Really just need someone to look at the whole picture. Budget would be under $350 or so.
Having problems with my baby staying latched an low milk supply
Twins , with first time breastfeeding
1. Bryan East Hospital, Lincoln 2. TBD 3. TOLAC to VBAC
My baby seems to never get satisfied off of breastfeeding and will eat for hours when I try to feed her. However she’ll only drink 3-5 ounces of formula. Which when I pump I make just that, so I’m thinking maybe we have a latch issue because it is a little painful sometimes, not terrible but she also has crazy suction. Would like to do an at home appointment if possible, maybe we could weigh her before and after a feeding. We have Aetna insurance, as well as Kancare. I would like to have a weekly mom group I can be a part of. I live in Kansas. I struggled with postpartum depression with my last pregnancy. It consumed me for 6-9 months post partum. I had to take zoloft and attend weekly therapy consultations. I was on mental health watch from my doctors. My health insurance provided me with a nurse that called me once a week. It was the winter in 2020 and I was all alone. I had planned to breast feed and had all the supplies but no milk came. That is what triggered my PPD. I felt like I wasn't really a mom and I didn't deserve to have a child since I couldn't properly care for it. I felt like a burden to my baby and every single person I ran into (stranger or friend or family member) Their very first (or second) question was "Are you breastfeeding?" and I would just drown from my own grief and guilt of being clearly insufficient; and shut down completely. I dissociated and felt the walls closing in. This mental collapse made caring for a newborn difficult since I was not bonding with my baby I was just feeling worthless. And babies play off of the vibes of the mother. A calm mother will have a calm baby. A distressed mother will have a distressed baby. And so the snowball rolled. I want to be proactive this time around. I want to have a support network that feels real and authentic. A penpal? An online class with cameras so that we can all see each other? I plan to give birth at the hospital and my plan is to go with the flow. That is what feels the best for me. Planning and over planning something like giving birth is a mistake, in my opinion. I want to experience it as it happens. I want to feel the needs of my baby and provide my body with the mental support it needs. I want to have a caring nurse there who advocates for me better than even I can, because doctors can be harsh and rude and labor can alter moods/emotions. I watch "Call the Midwife" and I would love to have someone like that. But midwives are expensive and I cannot afford them. My income is about $40k annually. I do not have low-income govt assistance. I have health insurance through my employer. I plan to take 3 months Maternity leave.
Plan on giving birth in the hospital, but as unmedicated and natural as possible. No epidural, be able to labor in different positions, in the tub, etc. I want delayed cord clamping, skin to skin, no vitamin K, no Hep B, etc. Budget wise I’d like to stay under $1500 if possible.
I would like to give birth at home. $5,000 budget Don't really have a birth plan. Desire minimally invasive care, and education on how to prepare my body for labor and get everything ready.
It will be a hospital birth I am hoping to be under $2,000 I currently do not have a specific birth plan but I do know I do not want to be induced or have an epidural
I plan to give birth at Saint Francis Hospital down in Tulsa. I have Soonerselect (Oklahoma Complete Health). My plan is to avoid the epidural and be as mobile as I can during labor/birth. I am a Christian as well so someone who also shares the same beliefs would be wonderful! I want to use music, dim lighting, and have a calm environment during labor as well. Breathing coaching is much appreciating!
