About me

The daughter of Chinese immigrants, I was born and raised in the SF Bay Area. I am a UCLA-trained clinical psychologist, pursued postdoctoral training at Stanford University and UCSF in positive psychology, mindfulness meditation, and depression/eating disorder prevention. I was enriched by the Spirit Rock Dedicated Practitioner’s Program and training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.. I am deeply influenced by the work of West African (Dagara) elder Dr. Malidoma Somé and Jicarilla Apache elder Dr. Eduardo Duran. I love working with parents and young families using mindfulness and somatic techniques to support their capacity to iconnect with the wisdom of their bodies and listen to their intuition.

I highly recommend Dr. Vickie Chang! She is an exceptional psychologist specializing in cultural identity development, particularly for BIPOC individuals. As part of her interest in social justice, she is also particularly skilled in guiding people who experience distress related to climate change by assisting them in aligning their values with actions. In her practice, she creates a supportive environment where individuals can explore their authentic selves while contributing to broader community well-being.
