We are a family of four , two boys ages 9 and 2, and we are expecting twins in July. We are looking for someone that can provide just a little extra support during the first few weeks of recovery. We are going to have our babies at Detar North , by c section.
Home or hospital 6,000 Peaceful and natural as possible
Hey! So I'm planning my 3rd birth. The first was an emergency c- section and the second also a c-section, 4yrs ago. I had a very unsupportive/hands off midwife previously. I've found an amazing midwife this time and am planning a VBAC. Currently planning a birthing center birth (birthing center is in Bastrop Texas) but considering homebirth.. I'm not supper stuck on a particular bith plan. My goal is a healthy baby and a bit of redemption from my previous births that didn't go the way I planned at all. I'm a Christian, mildly crunchy farm mom who just wants a calm, peaceful birth resulting in a healthy baby and minimal trauma! š I'm looking for a support person to remind me I am capable and keep me focused. I had post partum depression last time so some postpartum support may be good for me, although I have more family support this time too! We don't have insurance. I don't know what a doula costs typically, that's part of why I'm reaching out, to see if this could be an option for us. Thanks!!
Light housekeeping and meal prep. Occasional help with baby such as watching them when / if I shower / exercise etc. certifications and background check required along with real life references. Ideally looking for overnight support once a week.
I plan on having my second c-section in late may to early June. I would like someone to just help with keeping my birthing plan and keeping the home tidy after the baby.
First time giving birth, need guidance on the entire process.
I plan to give birth in the Methodist Sugarland hospital. I plan to do a natural unmedicated birth if possible, before resorting to the epidural.
Currently 36 weeks Birth at midwife center in Conroe Texas 1500 preferring a payment plan
I plan to give birth to my first baby Angelo at st davidās center in austin, by 32nd st. Iām hoping to go through my insurance with the cost, I wish/want to give birth naturally and hold off on getting the epidural for as long as possible, while using nitrous oxide.
My plan is to give birth at the hospital. I don't know how much postpartum doula is so I'm open. I've had difficult births in the past just hoping for a safe and quiet birth. It's only myself and my husband who works a lot of out of town jobs or stays late. My mom is elderly so she doesn't have much time to help me. I've had horrible post partum before. Just hoping for night help with our newborn.
I need lactation support i think i may have mastitis
Feeding support with twins in night time, sleep training, night time diaper change and burping
Create a birth plan as well as creating a routine after birth
I need help with the new routine. I have a son who will be 2 when the babies born. Iām worried he will have a hard time adjusting to the baby. He is also in speech therapy every Tuesday. I donāt have a good support system and my husband is always working. Iāll need help with meals, keeping the house clean and washing dishes/clothes. Iām not sure how Iām going to do it alone with two under 2.
1.hospital 2. Insurance 3. Shooting for a 100% normal, tear-free delivery of my 2nd baby!
We are planning to give birth at a hospital, ideally one with a strong reputation for maternal care, low intervention rates, and access to a NICU if needed. Our estimated budget for doula and postpartum support is between $1,500 and $3,500 depending on experience, services included, and level of support provided before and after delivery. Our birth plan is centered around a calm, low-intervention experience. We prefer an unmedicated vaginal birth if possible, but we are open to medical interventions if they become necessary for the safety of the baby or mother. We would like continuous labor support, encouragement with breathing and positioning, and an advocate who can help communicate our preferences with medical staff. Delayed cord clamping, immediate skin-to-skin contact, and support with initiating breastfeeding are very important to us. For the provider, we are looking for someone who is a certified doula (such as DONA or CAPPA certified) with at least 3ā5 years of experience and multiple births attended. We strongly prefer someone who is calm under pressure, highly communicative, and experienced with hospital births. It would be a bonus if the provider speaks Spanish as a second language to help support extended family members. The care recipient is a newborn, and we are first-time parents. We would appreciate guidance on feeding (primarily breastfeeding), soothing techniques, and establishing healthy sleep habits. There are no known special needs at this time, but we value a provider who can adapt if circumstances change. Additional duties we are interested in include light housekeeping related to the baby (washing bottles, baby laundry), meal prep for the mother during postpartum recovery, and some support with sleep training or establishing routines. Flexibility in scheduling and availability for overnight support a few times per week would be ideal.
