About me

I am a mother and a grandmother. I spent many years working with children as an educator but since 2011 have been a psychotherapist dealing with women's issues. Since 2009, I have worked with women with high risk pregnancies, pregnancy and postpartum depression and anxiety and prenatal loss both in a hospital setting and more recently in private practice. What a huge transition it is to have a baby. I enjoy working with new moms to validate, normalize and support the many changes that are involved.

Service introduction

I use traditional techniques as well as tapping, guided imagery, EMDR, and somatic techniques. Pregnancy and motherhood can be challenging. I enjoy empowering women to meet this challenge with knowledge, self care and realistic goals. And to accept that there is no "perfect" mother.

Wendy is truly gifted with empathy, compassion, and guidance. When you talk with her, you immediately feel that you are in a safe place. You will feel inspired after each visit, as she reminds you to be kind and gentle with yourself. During the last decade, she has taken excellent care of the many patients I referred to her while I was in practice in the field of Ob/Gyn. She is fully equipped to deal with the range of women's issues, and she is well-trained in various modalities to address trauma, grief, anxiety, self-doubt. She was invaluable to me personally when I was struggling with family issues relating to grief and loss. I would consider her a uniquely gifted angel!

Wendy has been my saving grace for many years now. She has helped me navigate and conquer anxiety and depression. I did EMDR with her and it made a great difference in my processing and recovery. She has helped me while I went through fertility treatments, pregnancy and post partum. She listens so well, is incredibly knowledgeable and has many methods that yield great results. She is wonderful to work with!

Wendy is patient, calm, kind, knowledgeable and very professional in her sessions. She provided me with excellent resources to help me through postpartum anxiety and depression, with a specific emphasis on my insomnia I was experiencing. I would highly recommend her as a mental health professional!

I'm so grateful to have found Wendy after my second postpartum experience! After my first pregnancy, I experienced depression and anxiety, but didn't know who or how to reach out for support and strategies to improve my mental health. I just tried to cope through PPD/PPA and pushed it away, which didn't help me very much. This second time around, I knew I had to find support, so when the PPA/PPD came back, talking with Wendy helped me tremendously! Wendy is a good listener, offers great anxiety release strategies, and always has good resources and exercises for me to work on to help me improve my daily life. I'm still a work in progress, but Wendy has given me the foundation to really build a healthier and happier life for myself and family.

Wendy's calming presence helped me through my anxiety/depression during my second pregnancy. She was always listening with her empathetic ear while offering great strategies to help with my anxiety. She taught me great exercises to do when I felt anxious. I would not have been able to welcome my second child into the world with a clear head if it wasn't for her.

Wendy is an amazing and empathetic listener who helped me immensely through my pregnancy and post-partum journeys. She is incredibly warm, safe, and familiar, and uses - I think - her background in teaching to provide wonderful supplementary reading and other resources, which I love. I always leave my sessions with her feeling a sense of calm, renewal, and hopefulness. She is wonderful!

Wendy helped me so much during my second and third pregnancies. I was having a tremendous amount of anxiety through pregnancy #2. Her office is just as warm and inviting as Wendy is!

Wendy got me through severe pregnancy anxiety when the pandemic started in the middle of my pregnancy and especially after I realized my husband would not be able to be at my side during delivery. She’s subsequently helped me navigate post-partum depression. She is kind, empathetic, and finds a good mix of listening and guiding. I can’t say enough good things about her and I will forever be grateful for her helping me get through these past 18 months.
