Where do you plan to give birth (home/hospital)? I plan to give birth in a hospital in Surrey, BC, preferably at Surrey Memorial Hospital with support from a registered midwife or obstetrician. I prefer a hospital birth for access to emergency care and postpartum support if needed. Provide your estimated budget Estimated budget: CAD $4,000–$8,000 depending on the level of support and services required. This includes: * Midwife or doula support * Prenatal and postpartum care * Childbirth education classes * Baby supplies and recovery essentials * Optional postpartum/night support or newborn care assistance Describe your birth plan I would like a calm and supportive birth experience with minimal medical intervention where safely possible. My preferences include: * Labouring naturally as long as possible * Freedom to move and change positions during labour * Delayed cord clamping * Immediate skin-to-skin contact after birth * Breastfeeding support immediately postpartum * Limited visitors during recovery * Pain management options discussed if needed * Flexibility to follow medical advice if complications arise I would also prefer a provider who supports informed decision-making and respects my birth preferences while prioritizing the safety of both mother and baby. Describe your requirements for the provider (certification, number of years experience, second language spoken) Preferred provider requirements: * Certified and licensed midwife, doula, or maternity care professional in British Columbia * Minimum 5 years of maternity/newborn experience * Experience with hospital births and postpartum care * CPR and newborn care certified * Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner * Preferred second language: Punjabi or Hindi * Comfortable supporting breastfeeding and newborn care education Preferred local maternity providers in Surrey include Mama Midwifery and Blume Maternity Care. Details about care recipients (Age, special needs, feeding, etc.) * Newborn infant (0–3 months initially) * No known special medical needs at this time * Preference for exclusive breastfeeding with bottle-feeding support if necessary * Gentle newborn care approach preferred * Family may require occasional overnight newborn support during postpartum recovery Include any additional duties (Sleep training, cleaning, cooking, laundry etc.) Additional duties may include: * Light housekeeping related to baby care * Baby laundry and bottle cleaning * Meal preparation/snack assistance for mother * Overnight newborn care support * Assistance with establishing feeding and sleep routines * Basic postpartum recovery support for mother * Sanitizing baby items and maintaining nursery cleanliness

Lord willing, I will give birth to our third-born this October in Langley, BC, canada. I plan to give birth at my parents little cottage at the back of their property. Our estimated budget is up to $3,000 cad, which would provide prenatal care from around 26 weeks until I birth the baby, and then up until six weeks after. Id love two home visits after the birth, and would expect one visit for sure! Our birth plan is essentially to water birth the baby at home, potentially outdoors in the rain!!! (Weather permitting). Id love to have our two older babies present at the birth. They’re currently 2years2 months and 8 months old! Id like mainly hands off monitoring /observing and to mostly be left alone (I think) and to be in the zone and be able to focus! The X Family Birth Plan “Yet, with the respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was also able to perform.” Romans 4:20-21 During Labor: encouraging words only please! Pls do not call me “exhausted” or in “pain” •no medication •ability to move freely •natural water rupture •intermittent monitoring •dim lights •water birth •no episiotomy •limited cervical exams, when I say yes •no membrane sweep •food and drink for Sarah •no students please •pitocin only if bleeding out •no IV please •no forceps/vacuum •husband to catch baby After Delivery: •immediate skin-to-skin •delayed cord clamp until after placenta is born •keep placenta •Zebedee and husband to cut cord once it is white •breastfeeding asap •no vitamin k shot, no hep b shot •oral vitamin k please •no eye ointment •no bath for baby •delay exams for bonding •no formula •no visitors please (Copy of previous birth plan above)
