Hospital this is all new to me not sure I’m looking for guidance
- Hospital birth. I’m planning to deliver at a hospital in the Lehigh Valley/Bethlehem, PA area. - Ideally around $1,200–$2,500 depending on services included, though I’m open to discussing options and packages. - I’m hoping for a calm, supportive, evidence-based birth experience with strong advocacy and emotional support. I would like to stay flexible while aiming for as low-intervention of a birth as safely possible. Pain management options are still being considered, and I value education, informed decision-making, movement/position support during labor, partner involvement, and postpartum recovery guidance. This is my first baby (a girl, due September 2026), and I would especially appreciate support navigating labor, hospital communication, breastfeeding initiation, and the immediate postpartum period. - Certified doula preferred Experience supporting first-time mothers and hospital births Familiarity with gestational diabetes/pregnancy monitoring preferred Calm, reassuring, collaborative communication style Comfortable working alongside medical providers and advocating respectfully 3+ years of experience preferred, but personality fit is also very important Bonus if familiar with South Asian/Indian family dynamics or cultural considerations
