It has been an incredible privilege to work with new families, helping them ensure a positive start and reach their full potential as a family unit. As your postpartum doula, I will be your reliable companion, guiding you through this transformative journey. Together, we will identify your child’s needs and learn effective ways to care for your new baby and yourself. Before becoming a doula, I dedicated 17 years of my life to teaching early childhood. During this time, I managed a classroom of infants and toddlers, balancing my care for the infants with curriculum development for preschool-aged children. I had the privilege of meeting and working with many young families navigating this new phase of life, which fueled my passion for providing more direct support to these new families. I am honored to bring my extensive experience to the families I now serve as a doula. I consider myself a mentor to these new parents, empowering them to find the tools and techniques to make their first days and weeks with their new baby as comfortable as possible. Additionally, I am trained in infant soothing and calming techniques, and I hold CPR and First Aid Certification, ensuring that I can provide the best possible care for infants under my care. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to assist you in having the best possible start as a new family.

I’m a postpartum doula certified by ProDoula. I’m passionate about helping, comforting, and cheering on moms and families as they heal and gain confidence in caring for their new additions. I have two daughters of my own, so I spend quality time with them, teaching my 16 year old to drive, and helping my 18 year old navigate her first year of college. I also love walking my dog, baking, reading, and traveling.

She lacked a strong support system, and self-advocacy was a foreign concept to her. All she knew was to follow doctors' orders. So, she suffered through her first HG pregnancy without treatment, showed up at the hospital at the first sign of contractions, and birthed her baby via cesarean for reasons unknown. When she became pregnant with her second child a few years later, she was more intentional in finding a care team to support her in achieving her birth goals. She hired doula-midwives from whom she received all of her prenatal care. Despite Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) and other stressors negatively impacting that pregnancy as well, having an attentive and supportive care team that centered her needs and respected her bodily autonomy influenced a more positive and empowering experience. Inspired by her journey, Brittany felt compelled to pay it forward. She believes everyone deserves a safe, informed and empowering birthing experience. Recognizing the implications of birthing while Black in America, she actively challenges coercive healthcare practices and, alongside many dedicated birth workers, strives to improve the state of Black maternal and infant healthcare.

Jasmine is the founder of J.Mason Foundation LLC, created to assist new & expecting families in need with baby care packages. Jasmine created J.Mason Foundation in November 2018, after experiencing her second miscarriage. Jasmine is a certified fertility advocate, Pregnancy & Infant Loss (PAIL) advocate, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, birth, bereavement, and postpartum doula, lactation & childbirth educator.
