My name is Abalonia Leavitt. I am a mother of five beautiful children, married, driven , passionate. I love traveling especially as a midwife. I enjoy watching TV spending, time with my children and, taking vacations. I've had a passion for conception pregnancy and birth since I was a teenager. I would spend hours in the library researching and learning about embryology, neonatology and, obstetrics. As a mother, I know how important it is to have quality care, more importantly to feel heard. feeling empowered, Informed. like an ally you can rely on! You shouldn't have to feel like you're fighting against your beliefs and intuition. Most importantly you want what's best for your baby. Some season practitioners are stuck in their ways I'm trying to bridge that Gap between hospital being a normality back to Midwifery being the sole purpose and providers for pregnancy aside from high risk pregnancies. I aim to lower mortality and morbidity rates among women and babies in the United States. I provide quality evidence-based care. I believe that "No one cares how much you know until, they know how much you care! At Leavitt's Itty-Bitty Delivery that is our commitment to our clients. With over 10 years of experience in the birthing field over 30 certifications, I strive to find answers and question everything with or without clinical trials, ACOG recommended standard of care. I meet my clients where they are, not on a spectrum that places all we knew and know about midwifery today on a sliding scale! I aim to break those barriers and get answers to all things prenatal, postpartum and newborn assessments and unnecessary treatments given due to protocols and policies that protect themselves and not the patients. I am also accredited A on the Better Business Bureau, WebMD, Vitals and several other sites. I have served my community for free in the past if insurance was not covered. I am unable to provide free services for births, I try to make up by working with your budget and will try for out-of-pocket reimbursements from insurance. I also serve the Elite communities as well. I offer a one of a kind genetic testing, Mommy care kits, Parenting courses, prep for Midwifery entry trainings, NRP, BLS, BBP, STABLE and, PALS. From the perspective of the husband, Julia’s help was invaluable. I cannot describe the emotionally charged helplessness you feel as you watch your wife, partner, go through this incredibly intense process, often with no idea of how, or even if you can assist. Julia knew exactly how I could assist, expressed it gently and direct. She helped us negotiate with the hospital staff respectfully. She was incredible at managing my wife’s moments of pain and fear. She brought snacks. The woman’s a rockstar. I would 100% recommend having a doula, and I would 100% recommend it be this woman.

Julia was a huge help to us in all parts of the process of welcoming our daughter Colette. She made Candy as comfortable as possible throughout the labor and helped her through the hardest parts. Even with a relatively smooth delivery, there were many decisions to make and Julia was a calming presence as well as an advisor and advocate. The postpartum sessions were a godsend for getting our newborn care started off on the right foot. We were very happy to have been able to work with Julia on our journey!

Working with Julia was one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy and postpartum journey. From the moment we met her, she brought a sense of calm, comfort, and deep expertise. She had the knowledge down pat and made us feel prepared for any scenario, as well as supported and reassured through it all.

Before Birth This was my first pregnancy, and having Julia come over twice before the birth was incredibly helpful. She reduced my anxiety and managed my expectations for both the birth and labor experience. Julia gave me strategies that made me feel comfortable and even excited for labor with my partner. She also prepared me in a way that made the entire process feel less scary. No matter how many books you read or how many articles you find online, nothing compares to having a personal discussion with someone who has been in that room hundreds of times. Her guidance was invaluable and cannot be measured in money.

Post birth, Julia has continued to be an incredible resource. She supported me through my breastfeeding journey, helped me navigate the transition into motherhood, and taught me countless tips and tricks to care for my baby. These have been unbelievably valuable, even the small things, like baby massage techniques, new ways to do tummy time, how to calm my baby, and even how to put clothes on a newborn. Simple changes that suddenly make everything easier! But more importantly, she has been a trusted person I can reach out to, someone who has worked so many babies and mothers. Having that level of expertise just a phone call away has brought me so much comfort and confidence. I am truly grateful for everything she has done to support our family.

As a single mother by choice I needed someone that I could trust and who could support me through the delivery. Julia was that person. Both at the birth and in the days and weeks that followed Julia was there every step of the way for me and my baby. We are still in touch now. A loving, kind and caring person who knows a lot about babies Julia is someone you want by your side during one of the most exciting and challenging moments of your life.

Julia came into our lives at a time when things felt incredibly overwhelming and difficult, and she brought so much wisdom, light, compassion and flow to the situation. She taught me so much about newborn care, but also about how to better care for myself during this intense period. I’m so grateful that both my baby and I were able to benefit from all her kindness and expertise. And her leg massages = heaven!

Julia was incredible to work with as we brought our baby home from the hospital. She showed up the next day and as new parents we felt immediately relieved that we had support from someone so experienced. Throughout the postpartum process she focused her energy on providing attentive care for our child but also made sure to provide care for momma as well. Her flexibility and empathy are her greatest assets. We also appreciated that she understood that every child is different and may have different patterns and needs, and helped us recognize some of his more nuanced cues.

Julia supported our family postpartum when our son was just a few weeks old, She brought a calming presence and a wealth of knowledge that made an overwhelming time so much more manageable. She helped us with soothing techniques, the first bath, feeding and sleeping tips, and supported us generally as we got to know our new baby.
