I would prefer to give birth at home if possible. I want to do a natural birth, delayed cord clamping until cord is white and no longer pulsating, no circumcision, no vaccines or shots, no bath for the first week if possible.

I want to give birth in a hospital but last pregnancy I was completely ignored and brushed off very rudely when I spoke up for myself and I need someone to back me up. I have no idea of a budget. I'm really just exploring options right now.

I’m not sure how to go about this I know my first birth was disastrous they kept trying to get me to do a c-section, ignored me when I said I wanted my placenta and threw it away, disrespected my mom instead of just talking to her. I’m looking for a midwife to attend my home birth in a birthing pool this coming July. I’m currently almost 22 weeks pregnant with my first child, a girl and I just moved to Santa Rosa Beach FL from California where my provider was. I would love a gentle and more hands off approach from a midwife at my birth (limited/no cervical checks, guided but not forced coached pushing, no transfer talk unless emergent etc).

I would like to give birth in a hospital or find an adequate birthing center. I would like a provider that is either black or has extensive experience working with pregnant black women. I hope to use my insurance to cover most of the expenses. But I am willing to pay some out of pocket expenses. I am newly pregnant so I do not have a birth plan. That is something I would like help figuring out with a provider.
