About me

Hello! I am a DONA International certified postpartum doula who has lived in Colorado since 2010. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Health Education, as well as a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have extensive experience supporting, educating, and nurturing families in different childcare capacities for the last 16 years. I have a penchant for postpartum and newborn care and am passionate about supporting families as they transition into parenthood being it with their firstborn or fourth! I always strive to meet families' needs with ease, flexibility, and warmth. On top of newborn and postpartum support I also can help as a Sibling Doula with older sibling childcare while parents welcome their newest additions to their family. My own experiences with pregnancy, birth, pregnancy loss and motherhood are what inspired me to embark on the journey of supporting others navigating their perinatal experience. I have trained with and am a member of The Institute of Birth, Breath and Death and can provide trauma informed bereavement and loss support. Holding space for others who are walking the path of grief during the most sensitive times is a skill that I hold dear to my heart. For my own wellness I love doing yoga, camping in our popup with my family, escaping to the beach, baking, and you can always find me curled up in a good book. I look forward to learning more about your family's needs!

Alyssa is absolutely amazing! Her kindness and warmth immediately put me at ease, and her expertise with babies made me feel so secure and comfortable, whether during daytime hours or overnight shifts. Beyond being incredibly reliable in general, she has a remarkable ability to "take charge" the moment she walks through the door, and instinctively jumps in to handle things without me needing to ask. On top of all that, she even helped with meal prep and cooking, and the results were always so delicious--having homemade meals during a time when I was physically unable to cook was such a gift. Her support just exceeded my expectations and hopes in every way possible. All in all, I can’t recommend Alyssa highly enough. She was an absolute lifesaver during a crucial time, and helped make it both less stressful and more joyful!

Alyssa was an absolute gift to our family during the early weeks with our newborn. As first-time parents, we were navigating a completely new world with sleep deprivation and the steep learning curve that comes with caring for a newborn. Alyssa brought a calm, grounded presence into our home that immediately put us at ease. As a new mom, it can feel incredibly vulnerable to trust someone new with your baby but with Alyssa that trust came right away. From the very beginning, I felt completely comfortable with her caring for our baby and she’s exactly the kind of person you want by your side during those vulnerable early weeks. What stood out most was her demeanor. She has the biggest heart and a steady, warm, and reassuring presence. In addition to gifting us with more hours of sleep and rest, she taught us helpful soothing techniques, feeding support, and practical newborn care. If you’re looking for a postpartum doula who is knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping new parents thrive, we cannot recommend Alyssa highly enough. She made an enormous difference for our family and we’re so grateful we had her during such a special (and challenging) time. We truly can't say enough good things about our experience with her.

Alyssa assisted us in a pinch after I got sick 3 weeks postpartum. Immediately upon her coming into my house, and asking gentle questions, I knew we’d be a good fit. She took care of our household when I was at my most vulnerable. She brought expertise as well as peace, something my postpartum mind and body needed on a spiritual, mental and physical level. She loved our baby as her own and I never worried on the nights she came. She became an integral part of our journey and we’re so thankful. We would highly recommend Alyssa Audrey!

I highly recommend Alyssa’s night doula services! She is excellent. Before searching for a doula, I was honestly very nervous about trusting anyone with my little daughter. From the very first meeting with Alyssa, all of those fears disappeared, she immediately gave me such peace of mind and made me feel completely comfortable. She is incredibly professional, warm, kind, and trustworthy. Throughout our time together, Alyssa was always punctual and reliable, and she consistently went above and beyond to make both me and my daughter feel safe and cared for. My baby was always so happy with her, and I felt so reassured knowing she was in such good hands. Looking back, I truly feel that Alyssa saved my maternity experience. Because of her support, I was able to actually rest, recover, and enjoy those first two months with my daughter. Having her by our side made all the difference. If you are considering a night doula, I highly recommend Alyssa, she is someone you can trust completely, and I’m so grateful we found her!

Working with Alyssa was truly life-changing for me and my family. From the moment she entered our home, she brought a calm, confident presence that made the chaotic early weeks with a newborn feel manageable and joyful. Her knowledge, intuition, and gentle guidance were exactly what we needed. She supported not only our daughter, but me as a new mom in ways I didn’t even know I needed. She empowered me, built my confidence, and helped me grow into the mother I wanted to be. Her kindness and care extended to our whole family, and her impact will stay with us forever. We are so grateful for Alyssa!! I cannot recommend her enough to any family looking for postpartum support.

My partner and I worked with Alyssa as our postpartum doula in early 2025. When I think back to the things that helped keep us afloat during those early postpartum weeks, it was her. She was a calming, supportive, incredibly considerate presence during that time. As first time parents, we didn’t really know what type of support we would need, or what to ask for, but we didn’t need to. Alyssa knew how to help. She helped by cooking us meals, catching up on dishes or laundry, tidying up a bit here and there, and perhaps most importantly, just by being present as a thoughtful listener. The first few weeks can be disorienting and confusing and lonely, and Alyssa offered a safe space to help us navigate through that (and offered resources along the way as well!). She also helped us with a lot of overnight support. She was tender and playful with our little one, checked in with us for any specific needs, and gave detailed updates on what happened overnight. It was a major relief to feel confident in trusting her with that type of support. Alyssa is a remarkable doula and person and I can’t recommend her enough.

We worked with Alyssa a few times for overnight care with our newborn, and she was absolutely wonderful. She brought such a calm, kind, and supportive presence into our home during a time that can feel so overwhelming. Alyssa always showed up with a smile, answered all my questions with patience, and offered a ton of helpful advice. We felt completely at ease with her caring for our baby, and I always looked forward to seeing her. Highly recommend her to any family looking for compassionate support in those early days!

Alyssa was such a wonderful part of our postpartum support system when we came home with our 3rd. She easily became a part of our family, and her presence helped me feel so much more rested and grounded during this postpartum phase. She loved our baby like it was her own and we are grateful, and the entire family was so sad to see her go!

I don’t even know where to begin… Alyssa is the MVP of our postpartum experience. She made the first six weeks of having a newborn feel more manageable. Her knowledge was invaluable and she helped us get the hang of things right away. Not to mention that our baby absolutely adores her! We cannot thank her enough for helping ease our transition into parenthood.
