Hey everyone! My name is Alyssa and I am a postpartum doula in training. My passion with the birth experience came after having my own children, when I was able to truly understand the severity of receiving nurturing and healing care as a new mother... Our society today does not have the structure for a "village" the way I think we are intended to have - so here I am building one for the women in my life. We deserve care and dedication after the mind-blowing experience of bringing new life into the world. Thank you for considering me.

Service introduction

My passion is caring for the mother as well as baby. I combine postpartum doula care with thoughtfully prepared meals that nourish the body, promote healing, and support breastfeeding and overall wellness. I have a passion for cooking and will provide mom and family with home cooked meals if requested. (Newborn care and support comes first - but these tasks will be done if there is additional time in the hours I am dedicated to you). I'll be assisting with feeding (both bottle and breastfeeding), diaper changes, cleaning/sanitizing, and sibling support if you have any older children. I'll provide companionship and comfort during your first weeks home with baby, and will be open to assist to any needs your family might have.

Full Package - 6 wks

This package includes two meeting with parents before baby arrives. (30 mins each). You know how it's common to have a 'birth plan'? Well, I like to create an 'after-birth plan' with the parent's desires and unique needs outlined to support you to the max. Direct phone and email communication for whenever the family needs support & wishes to ask questions. 6 wks of either overnight or daytime postpartum care. 4 days out of the week (to be chosen during the 'post-birth plan'. Shift of either overnight (10pm-6am) or daytime (10am-6pm) My price remains the same whether you prefer daytime or nighttime care.

Alyssa was my postpartum doula for my first two children and my birth doula for my third, and I truly can’t imagine those experiences without her. After my first two births, she provided so much more than practical help. She was a constant source of emotional support. She cooked meals, helped me through breastfeeding struggles, and when I ultimately chose to formula feed, she never made me feel judged. Instead, she gave me the confidence to trust my decision and reminded me that a well supported mom is what matters most. For my third birth, Alyssa was by my side during my C-section. After two previous emergency C-sections, having her there made all the difference. She made sure I understood what was happening, helped me feel informed and safe, and brought such a calm, reassuring presence. Knowing I had someone completely in my corner, supporting my choices without judgment while providing compassionate guidance, made the entire experience so much smoother. I will always be grateful for the care, knowledge, and kindness Alyssa gave my family. She is an incredible doula, and I wholeheartedly recommend her.

Frequently asked questions

Does getting a meal prepared for my family cost any additional money?

Absolutely not! If I am able to do so without interfering with my responsibilities with mom & baby, I will absolutely cook for no additional cost. During our 'post-birth plan' discussion, you can let me know your preferences for meals and I can give you ingredient lists ahead of time. Or, I can schedule grocery pickups myself and send the receipt for reimbursement. I can work with dietary/allergy restrictions as well as religious meat requirements.
