About me
Hi, we're Amelia and Matt! We're a husband and wife photography team based in Cary, NC, and we love working with growing families across the Triangle, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and everywhere in between. Maternity and newborn sessions are some of our favorite work. There's something special about photographing a mom in her last few weeks of pregnancy, then getting to meet that same baby just days after they're born. We keep our newborn sessions relaxed and unhurried, usually right in your own home, so you can just be present with your baby instead of worrying about posing. If you're expecting or just welcomed someone new, we'd be honored to help you remember this stretch of time.

Service introduction
We photograph a lot of growing families here in the Triangle, and maternity and newborn sessions are close to our hearts. We usually recommend maternity photos around 30 to 34 weeks, when your bump is full but you're still comfortable moving around for a session. Then, once your baby arrives, we come to you for a relaxed newborn session in the first two weeks, when they're still sleepy and curly enough to snuggle into all those little poses. No studio, no rush, just your home and your new baby.

I cannot recommend Amelia and Matt Photo enough. Funny enough, we actually found them through ChatGPT when I was looking for something special for my husband and my first wedding anniversary. We had been traveling a lot for work and decided we wanted to celebrate with an anniversary photo session instead of taking another trip. From the very beginning, they were incredibly kind, responsive, and thoughtful. They gave us several location options, sent inspiration from previous shoots, and even helped us decide what to wear. They made the entire planning process feel effortless. The day of our session was even better than we imagined. Having two photographers was amazing because they worked so seamlessly together and made us feel completely comfortable. My husband and I are definitely not professional models, but they guided every pose naturally, kept the session flowing, and made the whole experience fun. At no point did we ever feel awkward or unsure of what to do. It was obvious that they are true professionals who genuinely love what they do. The editing process was just as impressive. The turnaround time was incredibly fast, and their online gallery made it so easy to view and download all of our photos. We were absolutely blown away by the final images. I am so grateful we found Amelia and Matt. They captured such a special milestone in our lives, and I know without a doubt that they will be the photographers we continue to use for years to come.
