About Angel

Angel Wauthier is a Pregnancy, Birth & Breastfeeding Specialist and founder of Fruit of the Womb Perinatal Services. After two births ended in C-sections at 31 weeks followed by two NICU stays, she entered her next pregnancy knowing she didn’t want to simply hope things would be different—she wanted to prepare differently. That search changed not only her own birth experiences, but the way she understood pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding. Angel went on to have four vaginal births after two C-sections and discovered what would become the foundation of her work: pregnancy affects birth, birth affects breastfeeding, and better preparation starts long before labor. Today, Angel helps women—especially those coming into pregnancy after a difficult, high-risk, intervention-heavy, or disappointing experience—prepare for the whole journey. Her natural-first, physiology-centered approach connects pregnancy wellness, nutrition, body preparation, childbirth education, advocacy, breastfeeding preparation, lactation care, and infant support. Rather than simply hoping this time will be different, Angel helps women understand what they can influence, know their options, and prepare their bodies and minds for a healthier pregnancy, a more natural birth, and a stronger start to breastfeeding.

What to expect

Through Pregnancy & Body Wellness, we look at nutrition, pregnancy discomforts, movement and mobility, sleep, stress, mental wellness, and practical ways to support your body throughout pregnancy. Through Childbirth Preparation, we go beyond memorizing stages of labor and talk about physiology, positioning, comfort measures, interventions, informed decision-making, advocacy, partner support, and physical preparation for birth. Through Breastfeeding Preparation and Lactation Support, we start before there's a problem — learning biological breastfeeding, positioning, normal newborn feeding, milk production, common challenges, and ways to protect breastfeeding when birth doesn't go according to plan. And when a baby needs additional support, I also work with families navigating NICU stays, latch concerns, feeding coordination, positioning, body tension, and infant body support.

Angel was great with my teenage daughter. With her being young and getting herself in this situation, I thought that a doula would help her greatly. She helped her learn about the pregnancy journey and prepared her for what was to come. And when delivery time came she helped her relax in different ways guiding her and helped her welcome her baby into the world. She even helped capture the moments. I highly recommend her.

A close friend had told me what a difference a doula had made for her and strongly encouraged me to find one for my first pregnancy/birth. I didn't know much about doulas but wanted to find someone who would be sensitive, personable, and flexible during what I knew would be an intense experience. Angel was perfect, and she was full of ideas to try for relaxation, getting the baby in the right position, distraction, etc. She's very knowledgable and easy-going and made my first time giving birth seem way more manageable. Highly recommend her to anyone considering a doula!
