I feel so fortunate that Anita was able to be a part of my birth story. This work seems like a true calling for her. She showed genuine care for my wellbeing — mental, physical, emotional. Before and during labor, she gave me solid guidance without adding any pressure; simply giving me more info so I can better understand advice and options given by my Ob/gyn. Most importantly, she had the right (I called it magical) touch to ease pain and discomfort during labor, and she worked well with the other birth attendants: the medical staff at Sutter, my husband, and my sister. The Procedural Doula support was exactly the service I was looking for, for the hospital birth of my first son. It was just the right amount of help. Anita was there for me a text away in the weeks before labor began. The due date came and went, I was not excited to get induced, and I caught a cold. She eased my anxiety and helped me make informed decisions. During labor and delivery, I already was in pretty good hands - the hospital’s nurses were kind, competent, and helpful, and my husband loving and caring. But Anita made a big difference because I felt such relief when she walked in. I could tell her what I was feeling or needed, and she advocated for me and also looked out for my husband; helped him get rest. She made me feel like whatever I wanted or decided was valid. She also gave insight and suggestions so I could anticipate some of the decisions I might have to make during labor. Anita and the nurses worked together to get me into a position where the baby turned for easier delivery. I am so thankful. I would not hesitate to ask her help again.

Anita is a very knowledgeable and respectful individual that helped me through my second childbirth. The first time, I never used a doula service, and wish I had because oftentimes I would be misinformed, or not even informed at all about services and options provided by my hospital. Anita was incredibly cooperative with our last minute needs, and was really polite.

Anita is very kind and sweet. She is very attentive, informative and hands on. She answers questions promptly and accommodates needs in any way she can. She is very easy and pleasant to be around with and most of all she helped made me feel at ease during my labor that she is around for me and my husband. 100% recommend to pick her if you need a Doula.

I found Anita, KeAloha Doula, on the Bornbir platform after researching for quite some time online. We emailed back and forth at first, then had a phone appointment, and finally met in person to discuss her services. I chose Anita because I was looking for someone who could help advocate for me, especially as a plus size mom who faces a lot of medical pressure to do things a certain way. I found her to be warm and kind, and she explained everything thoroughly. We discussed my birth preferences and she informed me about all of my options. We stayed in contact as my due date approached, and we coordinated a plan on the evening that my water broke and I was admitted to the hospital. Anita was a comforting and helpful presence during my labor. I truly believe that her guidance helped keep my labor progressing and resulted in me having the birth experience I was hoping for. I would certainly work with Anita again and I recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!

Having Anita as my birth doula was the biggest blessing during my entire pregnancy and especially labor. She was always available to answer any questions/concerns I had throughout my pregnancy and she stayed with me for the entirety of my labor. I was so grateful for the way she handled everything at the hospital and guided me through the pushes since I had the epidural. Everyone deserves this kind of support and encouragement and I would definitely recommend Anita to anyone who asks. Would also love to have her as my doula again when I have another baby :)

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my doula. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond in every possible way. Her support during my pregnancy and birth was truly exceptional—calm, grounding, and incredibly empowering. She took the time to understand what I liked and what made me feel safe and cared for, and she brought the most thoughtful treats and comforts during her postpartum visit. Throughout the entire experience, she was attentive, compassionate, and fully present. She anticipated my needs before I even voiced them, advocated for me when I needed it most, and helped create a birth environment that felt peaceful, respectful, and truly mine. She supported and helped guide my husband during the birth and her knowledge and reassurance helped me stay confident and centered. Her warm, nurturing presence made me feel so supported every step of the way. I am endlessly grateful for her kindness, her dedication, and the love she pours into her work. She is an extraordinary doula, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will show up wholeheartedly and go far beyond expectations. My birth experience wouldn’t have been the same without her.

During my pregnancy, Anita helped me understand more about birth and helped me make my birth plan. She checked in with me throughout my pregnancy and answered all of my questions. She was there for me during the critical parts of labor when I needed support. I really appreciate her being there for me!

Anita is the BEST! She helped bring our second son into this world. During my first labor and delivery, I had a very traumatic experience and feared that my second labor and delivery was going to be the same, but with Anita’s knowledge, guidance, and experience, everything went so much smoother. We honestly wouldn’t have been able to do this without her (and I’m not just saying that). You’ll be in great hands having Anita by your side throughout your pregnancy, labor and delivery. We recommend her 110%!
