I'll be giving birth at Sutter Health's Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, California. I have Sutter Health Plan, HMO and a letter from my doctor saying she supports me having a doula. I'd like my doula to take my insurance coverage, and then provide a tip after. I'd really like to focus on birth prep and birth support to get ready for a smooth labor/delivery. I plan on having an unmedicated, vaginal birth and I would like to have minimal medical intervention unless necessary for the health and safety of my baby and I. I will not be birthing laying on my back, and really want to utilize movement to support birth progression. We not circumsize, and will delay the HepB shot. We will take the vitamin K shot, and will be delaying cord clamping. My husband will be a primary support person so we would love to learn techniques so he can best support me. I've listened to a hypnobirthing audio book, and really like the techniques used there.

My partner, Lucas, and I live in the Mission in San Francisco and are currently looking for a doula to support us during birth and postpartum period. We are planning a hospital birth through Kaiser at the Redwood City Birth Center, and ideally are looking someone in-network with Kaiser and able to accept Carrot benefits. A little about us: we’re a French/German-American couple in our 30s, and this is our first baby. I tend to be thoughtful and preparation-oriented, and I’m looking for someone calm, grounded, emotionally attuned, and experienced supporting first-time parents. My hope is for a supportive and relatively low-intervention birth experience if medically appropriate, while staying flexible and pragmatic (not too attached to anything). We are having twins in August and looking for post partum support overnight 4 nights a week.

We are expecting our first baby in San Francisco and are looking for affordable postpartum doula support after birth. We would like someone certified through DONA, ICEA, NHA, CAPPA, or another organization accepted by UnitedHealthcare/Apple benefits, and we need the provider to be able to provide proof of certification and itemized receipts for reimbursement. We are primarily looking for daytime postpartum support, with possible occasional overnight help if affordable. We would like help with newborn care, feeding/lactation support, postpartum recovery support for the mother, soothing/sleep guidance, and general coaching for first-time parents. Helpful additional duties would include light baby-related laundry, bottle/pump-part cleaning, simple meal/snack prep, and light tidying related to baby care. We are not looking for heavy house cleaning. Our goal is to stay within the Apple/UHC doula reimbursement benefit, which appears to cover up to $2,500 per pregnancy. Ideally we are looking for someone around $45–$65/hour, with package pricing or sliding scale if available.

I am located in Southern California in the Irvine area. My husband is in the military and is currently deployed. He most likely will not be able to be at the birth of our son. Because of that I will be giving birth in Napa California at Queen of the valley hospital. I have tricare and hope to get the doula services covered through my insurance. I am a first time mom so I do not currently have a birth plan per se so I am hoping the doula could help me. I am 24 years old and like I said this is my very first baby so anything helps.

I plan to give birth in a hospital - Marin Health in Greenbrae CA. Tricare will cover 6 hours (across pre- or post birth) and then continuous labor support. I just need to ensure my doula is tricare authorized.
