We plan on giving birth at OSF Little Company of Mary Hospital. We would like to delay chord clamping, delay bathing and introduce bare skin contact as soon as possible. We would like to delay examination. For the birth we would like to only use an epidural if absolutely necessary and would like to try other forms of pain reduction (nitric oxide); also limiting cervix checks. Not quite sure of an estimated budget. Postpartum, would like assistance in breastfeeding and getting the placenta into pill form for nutrients.

I’ve experienced postpartum hemorrhage with my last three births, which were all hospital births, so having knowledgeable and reassuring support is especially important to me. I’m planning another hospital birth and do not plan to be induced this time. I’d also appreciate some guidance and support with postpartum recovery and newborn care.
