I am a mom of 3, and I had very different journeys with each. I know firsthand that no pregnancies, labors, births or postpartum recoveries are the same, and therefore should be treated with respect and understanding for the individual. TuWana is an advocate and enthusiast of holistic womenʼs health. As a mother of premature twins and a mom who has suffred postpartum depression she has dedicated her life to connecting with women through the birthing process, postpartum health, and networking. Her calming nature and holistic approach helps ease new parents and veterans like herself help find balance in the new coming of bringing life into their home whether that be newborn care or helping adjust siblings. The philosophy that it takes a village is something that she truly takes to heart. We all need a tribe ! As the oldest child of 9, I know all about family. I couldn't wait to grow up and be a mom. Now, as a mother of 2 children myself, I understand firsthand the joys and chaos that is the journey of parenthood. So l've taken my love for babies and families and have made it my mission to provide nurturing support to postpartum women and families. If I can come alongside mothers and families during the postpartum period and make this time in their lives just a little bit easier, then my job is complete. I want mothers and families to thrive and grow, and I will do everything possible to make that happen. I have a special place in my heart for new mothers, and I want them especially to feel encouraged, empowered and confident as they begin the exciting journey into motherhood. I believe that every baby is a beautiful miracle and my mission is to come alongside postpartum mothers and families and provide them with the loving support they need as they begin the beautiful journey of life with a newborn.

I have had a passion for the birth world for nearly a decade. It began in college when I worked as an Emergency Room Technician at a small town hospital. Although it was rare, we would occasionally have moms come in while in labor and I LOVED the excitement and thrill of the possibility of being a helping hand with a birth. This along with having midwifery care during my own pregnancies and births, eventually led me to began studying midwifery in 2018. During midwifery clinicals I was able to assist in many home and birth center births. I had the utter joy of helping mamas feel safe & comfortable, empowered to give birth in the way they desired, overcome obstacles, and see new life come into the world! I am currently taking time off from my midwifery training to focus on caring for and homeschooling my three precious daughters. This time off also allows me to venture into the doula world! As a doula, I will bring my knowledge of evidence-based practice and hands-on experience to educate, encourage, and support families in achieving the birth experience they desire.
