Hello! Husband and I are looking to welcome our first baby girl on 4/3. We plan on delivering at St Charles Hospital and have come health insurance that will cover doula services. We are looking for some in labor support for both husband and I. We sre still working on our birth plan, goal is to deliver a happy and healthy baby at the end of the day. We sre not opposed to medicine and would like to have a healthy and relatively natural delivery as long as possible and as long as safest option.

Hospital 2,000 Low dim lights, battery operated candles, essential oil diffuser, possibly birthing tub, free movement

Im not yet pregnant but plan to conceive in the Fall of 2025. I have identified that I want a home birth with a midwife and doula. I would prefer to have OHP cover the costs if possible. My birth plan is to feel safe and trust my body while having the support and care from my doula.

Would like to utilize non-medicated options, but not opposed to medicated options to improve outcomes of comfort and safety. My husband and I have science/healthcare backgrounds, so we’re looking for education/instruction more so than emotional support. We are also Orthodox Christians, which we would like to integrate.

I am hoping to mostly labor at home and hope to transition calming to the center. I am hoping to have services mostly covered by insurance but happy to spend under $900 for care.
