Sizzly was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and with a lot of experience which made me feel she is very trustworthy and that my home birth was in great hands. Love that she prayed over my baby’s birth and received guidance intuitively from the Lord. She was very encouraging when I needed it most and didn’t hesitate to go the extra mile. If i had to do it all again, I would definitely pick Sizzly as my midwife again. 10/10 recommend for anyone considering a home birth.

I operate a birthing practice. My birthing practice is named My Ancient Birthing to commemorate my love for my God and also to embody and recognize ancient birthing practices. I am also an activist for the fair treatment of minorities; therefore, my practice serves as a pillar in supporting this paradigm. I am an ante, intra and postpartum doula AND midwife, a fertility and birth practitioner through DONA and I specialize in small surgical circumcision(s), lactation coaching and maternal fitness. I have a plethora of accomplishments through my work in My Ancient Birthing, but among the greatest achievement was being interviewed by the Voyage Magazine on March 5, 2026. I was able to introduce my birthing practice to people who are not privy to it and be a reminder for those who were already aware. I look forward to speaking with you soon!

I would like to start by saying I am extremely pleased with the work provided by Ahyashah! She was my midwife and doula. She is DONA certified which is a HUGE plus! She is very knowledgeable in this line of work. She was willing to answer any and every question that I had and if there was something she wanted to confirm, she did her research and got back to my husband and I. She is very soft spoken, sweet, kind and knowledgeable. I know I said knowledgeable already but once you hire her, you will understand why I am expressing this more than once. My husband pointed out that he appreciated how she also ensured his understanding, not leaving him out of the loop like the doctors did in our first birth. We had a water birth. Ahyashah was there every step of the way! I was delighted to have her on my team and will definitely book again, if we have another baby! Thank you so very much Ahyashah!
