Hi there! My name is Morgan and I am a birth and postpartum doula in Sacramento, CA. I am currently working towards my Maternal Support Practitioner certification through Bebo Mia. I’ve always been fascinated by birth, but after experiencing an unplanned cesarean with my first son, then achieving a VBAC with my second son, my fascination transformed into a passion. Everyone’s birth is different and unpredictable. My dream, in the chaos and beauty of birth, is to make sure all birthers feel safe, supported, and nurtured, both during labor and in the postpartum period. Being there to support one of the most transformational and emotional moments of life is truly such an honor. As I’m working towards my certification and need a specific amount of hours/births attended in order to reach that goal, I’m more than happy to work with sliding scale. Currently, I am unable to accept insurance but hope to in the future! Carina is a second generation Filipinx and El Salvadoran queer and revolutionary full-spectrum doula. In an effort to embrace both of Carina's ancestral lineages, Carina is committing to the re-knowing/re-learning of advocacy for families on their journeys of pregnancy, labor, postpartum, miscarriages, loss, and abortion. Through this work, Carina devotes themself to re-membering the innate wisdom and powers of birthing people’s abilities to birth life into this earthly realm. In re-membering this ancient wisdom, Carina rejects harmful patriarchal systems and resists colonial structures of all forms. Hi, I'm Kristin Guess! My journey into birth work began when I attended a DONA International workshop in 2018. After supporting my first birth, I knew that doula work was exactly where I belonged. I remember driving home with a huge smile, filled with a sense of joy and awe—as if I had witnessed one of life’s greatest secrets: the arrival of a new being, full of possibility. No matter how unique each experience is, that feeling of wonder never fades. It is truly an honor and privilege to be present for such a profound moment in people’s lives. ​ I was born and raised just outside of Sacramento and spent 2 years after high school living in Germany before making my way to the Bay Area for college. During the pandemic years, I moved to Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Northwest is beautiful, but California is where my heart is. I’m now excited to get to call Half Moon Bay home. I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to support Bay Area families once again. ​ As a DONA-certified, evidence-based doula, my role is to help you feel informed, empowered, and at ease throughout your birthing journey.
