I'm looking for a lactation specialist/consultant for an in-home visit once the baby has arrived for breastfeeding and I would also like to find a physical therapist for pelvic floor. Hello, My wife recently gave birth to our son on 11/24/25. He has been eating consistently, but while he matched his birth weight after 1 week, he has actually lost 1.5 ozs in the last two weeks. She is interested in working with someone on how to best use our pump, and also deal with some nipple pain, among some other questions and issues she has to ensure she is feeding our son effectively and efficiently. We have an Aetna Elect-Choice Open Access plan and are located in Prospect Lefferts Gardens in Brooklyn. We are looking for at least one in-home visit to make sure she is using the pump correctly. Hello, My almost three week old is having issues latching. He cries every time he tries. I am currently pumping but not making enough, as he drinks around 3.5 oz per feeding and I am only producing around 1-2 oz per pumping session. I was originally planning to give birth at home but that has pivoted to the hospital now. I had an outside doula I hired at the beginning of my pregnancy but due to personal financial strain, I had to cancel her services. Therefore, I don’t have money to pay for a doula currently. I am expecting my first baby and I’ve always wanted a completely natural birth as I am aware that my body is made to birth. I am being told my baby is measuring big due to gestational diabetes and during my appointment today my OB mentioned a c-section as well as the potential of my baby’s shoulders getting stuck and the complications/risks that come with having a “big” baby. I also do not want to be induced. I want to let my body and baby do what it needs to do when it’s ready and not by force. For the sake of our health I will do things that I may not be most comfortable with if it’s absolutely needed. I don’t believe I need to be forced into an induction or a c-section because baby is big. I want to be able to walk around while in labor, sleep, eat small snacks, get into a tub of water, use a birth ball and deliver in the water or on all fours if possible. I simply want to do everything in my power to make my birthing experience a memorable moment and not a traumatic moment.

I am looking for an IBCLC to work with in-home. I am struggling getting established with breastfeeding my baby girl, born 10/11/2025. She is capable of latching, because she has successfully latched & fed several times. However, I often can’t get her to, and she lost too much weight so I’m having to supplement with bottle feeding (both formula and what I’m pumping). Since introducing the bottle, I haven’t been able to successfully breastfeed at all, even though I always offer the breast first. My goal is to exclusively breastfeed, I just don’t know how to get there. I am hoping to work with a lactation consultant that will be 100% covered by insurance (Aetna).
