University hospitals Wondering if insurance covers

I plan to give birth at Southwest General in Middleburg Heights mid/end of October. Budget is flexible as I am not sure what the average price range is. I have had a stillbirth and also an emergency c- Section. I would like to be able to move and walk around as much as possible. I had a birth plan for my last birth and it didn’t not go to plan at all. This time I would just like to be open to all options and not be set in stone on what I think I might want.

I need a birthing doula to come to the hospital with me and support and coach me through my birth. I am planning to have a hospital birth but natural with no medication. I’m hoping insurance will cover some of the cost but i’m unsure what pricing looks like so i don’t know what my budget is yet.

I am giving birth at OSU with the midwives. I am keeping the same midwife throughout pregnancy (rather than meeting with lots of them), so am expecting an unknown midwife at the birth. Because of this, I want to have the consistency of a doula I know will be at the birth. This is my 2nd birth. It was helpful to have a doula the first time for tips and tricks and to give my husband ideas and I hope for the same again. I had an unmedicated vaginal birth last time and hope to do the same again. We have Tricare insurance and ideally would find someone covered by insurance.

As I will be a single Momma by choice I’m looking for support, advocacy, and coaching during the labor/delivery, which is my primary concern. I’m a healthy woman will be giving birth at age 52.

I am having a hospital birth due to being considered "high-risk," but I'd like as natural an experience as possible and want my wants and needs to be taken seriously. From what I've seen doulas cost around $1.5k, so I'm willing to pay around that amount. I want as few interventions as possible and to not be pressured into anything (epidural, inducement, etc.). I would like to be able to choose what positions I'm most comfortable in during birth rather than being forced onto my back, if possible. I do not want to be forced into an unnecessary c-section or the birth rushed. Unless the baby is in a real emergency, I want the baby to have skin-to-skin contact with me immediately after birth. I do not want the baby to be given a pacifier whatsoever. I intend to breastfeed.
