Hi, I’m going to be a first time mom! As I am super excited and starting to plan my near future, I am also trying to navigate how I want my birthing experience to go. I know that I would like to have a hospital birth, which I believe I have found the perfect hospital for me. As of right now I am still researching this and that. Meaning, there are so many different birthing experiences. I’m sure everyone has their dream ideal labor and delivery story to which some come true and some do not. I am fully aware anything can happen but before we go there, I do have an “ideal” way I’d like to see my labor going. I would very much prefer an unmedicated birth. My main goal is no epidural. I do have a few different reasons as to why I don’t want it, but that is something we can always get into later if you’d like! I should also mention again, this is my goal! If at any point I get to a point during labor where I absolutely want it or feel that I need it, if able to, I will change my mind. I also would love to stay away from Pitocin as long as possible as long as there are no complications etc. of course if the labor is getting dangerous for me or baby, I understand. I am also hoping as my doula (when we find each other!) you will help me understand more about these. As long as things go as planned, I plan on my mother and boyfriend being present during my labor and birth. I also hope I can add another amazing support person to the list! Someone that will 110% advocate for me if and when needed, and Someone that will keep me updated and educated! I hope to speak soon, thank you!

Giving birth in a hospital. I am just wanting someone to be my voice when I feel defeated. This is my second and my birth plan wasn’t followed the first time.

I plan on giving birth in the hospital. I want to try and give birth naturally and without an epidural. This would be my second kid and my birth plan for my first was not followed at all and I felt pressured to take a medicine to help induce me (and then to take Pitocin).

Hospital birth at Norton labor and delivery St. Matthews location. Using health insurance (Passport by Molina). This is my first pregnancy and I’m unsure of what a birth plan entails. I do plan on having an epidural. I would also like for there to be delayed cord clamping. As well as splitting skin to skin “golden hour” between my husband and I.

Trying this again because I've finally decided on what I am actually needing... We are already planning a homebirth (Northfield, OH) with a midwife and I am looking for a certified doula that offers photographer. Would like to stay under $2,000.

I am 12 weeks and have attended 1 prenatal doctor's appointment, but am interested in prenatal care with a midwife instead, if possible. Would like guidance and education, as this is my first baby.
