I will be giving birth at the chinook Lethbridge hospital in Alberta. This is my second kid, first birth experience was extremely traumatic for me. I spent 3 days in hospital getting induced, 12 hours of labour after my water broke, pushed for an hour, then emergency c section. Im looking into what my options are for a doula in Lethbridge that maybe our insurance could cover the cost of? I don’t have a budget because we don’t really have extra funds to pay out of pocket so I’m mostly wondering if finding someone we can afford is even possible. I am planning on giving birth in lethbridge at the hospital, my dream is to be able to have a water birth or at least using a tub through labor and I hope to avoid getting an epidural.
