My name is Yanett i have been working with children for the past 10 years i currently hold a Masters degree in child development. Working as a newborn care specialist allows me the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of families. I have worked with many infants, including premature infants and twins. I have supported mothers with breastfeeding, from milk storage, supply issues, latching problems, and more. I am knowledgeable about colicky infants, tongue ties, reflexes, cradle caps, oxygen machines, and more. I love helping families set up their nurseries to help create a safe sleep environment conducive to fostering healthy sleep habits from night one. I am comfortable working with hands-on parents and completely taking over with the infant, doing whatever I can to offer the most support. I am a birth doula and childbirth mentor/educator located in Orange County, CA. The primary focus of my work is to improve birth outcomes for marginalized communities and to reduce (ideally eradicate) birth trauma. My training is mostly through an organization called Birthing From Within and I highly recommend their reading materials for individuals at any stage, from pre-conception to postpartum. My philosophy is that you, the pregnant person, have all of the wisdom and ability within you and we can work together to awaken that within you.
