My husband and I are looking for a bilingual speaking doula (spanish & english). We live in south brooklyn, but the delivery will be in the city NYP. We would like a the doula that is familiar with hypnobirthing and to be present to support us both and some hours for Post-Partum care during the week. My birthplan includes hypnotherapy techniques, soft dim lighting and music, i would like laughter and peacefulness during the natural birth. This is our first baby, so i dont know what a bugdet for doula services would be, but we do live on a tight budget. My husband has Medicaid so I wonder if his insurance can cover some of the cost.

My husband and I have no family in the country (we’re British from the UK) and so extra support is needed. Would also like support after during the postpartum stage. I am a trans man. I am seeking a birth doula who is invested in supporting trans pregnancy and the many complications of experiencing dysphoria in pregnancy, and supporting my needs as a trans parent through the birthing process. Additionally, I have hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis, and persistent proteinuria and am seeing a high risk doctor for my birth. I would like to have a non-c-section in the hospital setting with my MFM practice, and be supported in my needs as a gestational parent and birthing person. Also I would like a doula who is equipped to support my wife as non-gestational parent and new queer parents. We have dealt with loss (she had an early miscarriage when we TTC'd earlier in life) and this has impacted my experience of pregnancy as well. I plan to give birth at NYU Langone. Our estimated budget for a doula is $2500, but we are just starting this journey and are open to alternatives.

We are looking for a postpartum doula that will be able to come to the house (Park Slope, Brooklyn, 11215) as soon as baby arrives home and help us feel confident with baby care - bath, diaper change, holding baby etc. also give us advice and support about feeding baby - breastfeeding/pumping/formula feeding. We will want to start at 4-5 times a week for 4-5 hours for the first couple of weeks and then reduce the frequency gradually. At the beginning we are looking for daytime visits but we might be interested in occasional night time visits.

I’m a working mom of 2 joyful and strong willed kids. My youngest is 16 months old and hasn’t slept through the night since about 6 months of age. I’m running on fumes. He falls asleep independently for bedtime ~7:30pm each night. He wakes about 2x (12am/3am) before final wake up around 5am when I bring him into my bed and nurse him back down so we can sleep until about 7am. He’s got 16 teeth out so I attribute some of the night struggles to that but i know there are other factors. Can you help?
