I am currently 11 weeks pregnant so I just getting a head start on looking for a doula. This is my second pregnancy. My first birth was in a hospital setting and everything went great up until the last couple of hours. I thank having extra support with me could have helped tremendously. 1. I am planning on giving birth either in a hospital or a birth center. I want to have as much support during labor especially if I choose a birth center since that would be an unmedicated birth. 2. I'm looking to have a low-intervention water birth. immediate skin to skin after birth (mom + Dad), delayed cord clamping (waiting until cord is white & no longer pulsating), no baby bath, first feed, minimal cervical checks, mobile baby monitoring so I can walk around, no pitocin or epidural, IV hep-lock/saline-lock, & no hep b vaccine.
