Hello ! I plan to give birth with my first child at UF health hospital. I would like to run my insurance through Medicaid to see how that’ll affect price. My birth plan 💓 Environment - I prefer a female doctor or midwife - I would like to give birth in the hospital - I would like to have subdued lighting if possible - I would like to listen to music during labor Companions - I only want my partner, doctors, nurses and midwives in the room - family can visit me in the hospital Fetal monitoring - I would like the baby to be monitored using a Doppler - I would like to have continuous fetal monitoring Photos & videos - I would like to have a video shot after birth - I would like to have pictures taken after the birth Induction - If necessary, I am ok with my waters being broken to induce labor - small use of epidural to start and possibly add more later Pain relief - If possible, I would like a mobile epidural (would be able to have some feelings in your legs and possibly walk) - Please don’t offer any pain relief, unless I ask for it Tearing & episiotomy - I would like to occasionally have directions regarding when to push or not to push, so as to avoid tearing During labor - I would like to be able to move or walk around freely - I would like to be free to eat and drink when I want to - I would like to try various birthing positions - I would like to use spontaneous bearing down and not forced pushing Cesarean birth - Do not perform a hysterectomy, unless it is the only option to save my life - I would like my partner or companion to be with me if I have a cesarean birth - I would like to be offered a second opinion, if I need a cesarean birth - If an emergency cesarean is required, I would like to stay awake - If possible, I would like to avoid a cesarean birth Delivery - I would like to be free to decide my own position for labor - I would like to push when I feel like doing it naturally rather than being told when to push After delivery - I do not want to be given any drugs to speed up the delivery of the placenta - If possible, I do not want to be separated from my baby after delivery. - My partner will stay with our baby if there is an emergency - We would like to have skin-to-skin contact and time to bond with the baby as soon as possible after delivery - We would not like any Vitamin K to be given to our baby, unless our baby is born by forceps, vacuum extractor or cesarean Umbilical cord - I would like my partner to cut the umbilical cord Feeding - I would like to breastfeed my baby as soon as possible after birth - I would like to have some help the first time I breastfeed my baby |

|
Location: Bellingham, MA 02019, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: February 27, 2026
Hello! We are expecting our second child in late February. Our daughter is 4 years old. I am in a phd program, and will not likely be able to spend dedicated paternity leave. We are looking for options for overnight, daytime, and/or 24 hour care for 8-12 weeks. We’d have a slight preference for live in care, if the rate is right—we’d able to have a longer commitment at a lower rate, of course. |

Night Nanny. Will be breastfeeding so would need the baby brought to me for feedings till we have a supply set up for bottles. Looking to have this start at around 11/12 weeks after giving birth and I'm going back to work. With my job I work 12 hours shifts but not daily. One week it would be 2 days while the other week would be 5 days. If I'm on night shift, then it would just be my husband being home. If I'm on days, then both of us would be home. This would be needed till the baby was sleeping through the night as we both work demanding jobs and for me lack of sleep becomes a hazard for the type of job I have. If I'm on days the hours would be about 9pm till my husband left for work which is around 7ish but could be sooner as we haven't fully gone over how the baby will be getting to my moms house. If I'm on nights it would be around 8pm/9pm I think but once again haven't gone over anything fully yet and last till i got home which is normally around 6:30ish am but could be longer if stuck on a late call. Also when I go back to work the first 2 weeks could be different as I'm unsure how it will be at first and the first 2 weeks could be 5 days a week as I may have to do a fast redo of training and my hours could be different each day and could go back and forth between days and nights between that 2 week time frame. |
