I am having a hospital birth due to being considered "high-risk," but I'd like as natural an experience as possible and want my wants and needs to be taken seriously. From what I've seen doulas cost around $1.5k, so I'm willing to pay around that amount. I want as few interventions as possible and to not be pressured into anything (epidural, inducement, etc.). I would like to be able to choose what positions I'm most comfortable in during birth rather than being forced onto my back, if possible. I do not want to be forced into an unnecessary c-section or the birth rushed. Unless the baby is in a real emergency, I want the baby to have skin-to-skin contact with me immediately after birth. I do not want the baby to be given a pacifier whatsoever. I intend to breastfeed.

I am 26 years old and this is my first child so I would like someone to just give me advice and basically be there for me through this journey. I would like to give birth at a birthing center close to a hospital if I need to go to it, but I am not opposed to going to the hospital I just don't want to have the baby on my back. My budget is under $2,000 preferably. I also would like to try and breast feed to know what drinks or food I can intake now to help with that. I am also a picky eater so helping me come up with a balanced diet would also be a great help as well. I just would like to prep on what I should be doing each month and things I need to order so that I can already have it before the baby comes.

Hello ! I plan to give birth with my first child at UF health hospital. I would like to run my insurance through Medicaid to see how that’ll affect price. My birth plan 💓 Environment - I prefer a female doctor or midwife - I would like to give birth in the hospital - I would like to have subdued lighting if possible - I would like to listen to music during labor Companions - I only want my partner, doctors, nurses and midwives in the room - family can visit me in the hospital Fetal monitoring - I would like the baby to be monitored using a Doppler - I would like to have continuous fetal monitoring Photos & videos - I would like to have a video shot after birth - I would like to have pictures taken after the birth Induction - If necessary, I am ok with my waters being broken to induce labor - small use of epidural to start and possibly add more later Pain relief - If possible, I would like a mobile epidural (would be able to have some feelings in your legs and possibly walk) - Please don’t offer any pain relief, unless I ask for it Tearing & episiotomy - I would like to occasionally have directions regarding when to push or not to push, so as to avoid tearing During labor - I would like to be able to move or walk around freely - I would like to be free to eat and drink when I want to - I would like to try various birthing positions - I would like to use spontaneous bearing down and not forced pushing Cesarean birth - Do not perform a hysterectomy, unless it is the only option to save my life - I would like my partner or companion to be with me if I have a cesarean birth - I would like to be offered a second opinion, if I need a cesarean birth - If an emergency cesarean is required, I would like to stay awake - If possible, I would like to avoid a cesarean birth Delivery - I would like to be free to decide my own position for labor - I would like to push when I feel like doing it naturally rather than being told when to push After delivery - I do not want to be given any drugs to speed up the delivery of the placenta - If possible, I do not want to be separated from my baby after delivery. - My partner will stay with our baby if there is an emergency - We would like to have skin-to-skin contact and time to bond with the baby as soon as possible after delivery - We would not like any Vitamin K to be given to our baby, unless our baby is born by forceps, vacuum extractor or cesarean Umbilical cord - I would like my partner to cut the umbilical cord Feeding - I would like to breastfeed my baby as soon as possible after birth - I would like to have some help the first time I breastfeed my baby

Another support system I can rely on in a new state. Most of my family will not be around for the birth and I need someone I can trust to help me deliver my baby safely, advocate and listen to my needs to ensure I make it through child birth. I need someone who will hear me and that I can lean on for guidance. I want to live and survive so I can raise my baby.

1. I haven’t decided where I wanted to give birth, so must be open to assisting home-births. However, have been leaning towards a hospital birth this go. 2. Going through insurance. 3. My birth plan is no matter where I birth, I want an undisturbed birth (as much as possible), no students, no epidural, no unnecessary checks, delayed clamping (pass the 2 minutes), and a doula who feels like family and who will advocate for me like no other when I’m simply unable and guide my partner as well as step back to allow him to be just as much a part of birth. Everything else we will discuss.
