I am having a hospital birth due to being considered "high-risk," but I'd like as natural an experience as possible and want my wants and needs to be taken seriously. From what I've seen doulas cost around $1.5k, so I'm willing to pay around that amount. I want as few interventions as possible and to not be pressured into anything (epidural, inducement, etc.). I would like to be able to choose what positions I'm most comfortable in during birth rather than being forced onto my back, if possible. I do not want to be forced into an unnecessary c-section or the birth rushed. Unless the baby is in a real emergency, I want the baby to have skin-to-skin contact with me immediately after birth. I do not want the baby to be given a pacifier whatsoever. I intend to breastfeed.

I want to give birth in a hospital but with the help of a doula/ midwife. I would love to have a water birth but unfortunately my local hospital doesn’t offer it, i was hoping maybe a doula could bring the supplies to my hospital and assist me, if allowed.

I want to give birth at home unless there are complications or unless I change my mind during the dialating process and want to give birth at the hospital

I am 26 years old and this is my first child so I would like someone to just give me advice and basically be there for me through this journey. I would like to give birth at a birthing center close to a hospital if I need to go to it, but I am not opposed to going to the hospital I just don't want to have the baby on my back. My budget is under $2,000 preferably. I also would like to try and breast feed to know what drinks or food I can intake now to help with that. I am also a picky eater so helping me come up with a balanced diet would also be a great help as well. Another support system I can rely on in a new state. Most of my family will not be around for the birth and I need someone I can trust to help me deliver my baby safely, advocate and listen to my needs to ensure I make it through child birth. I need someone who will hear me and that I can lean on for guidance. I want to live and survive so I can raise my baby.

1. I haven’t decided where I wanted to give birth, so must be open to assisting home-births. However, have been leaning towards a hospital birth this go. 2. Going through insurance. 3. My birth plan is no matter where I birth, I want an undisturbed birth (as much as possible), no students, no epidural, no unnecessary checks, delayed clamping (pass the 2 minutes), and a doula who feels like family and who will advocate for me like no other when I’m simply unable and guide my partner as well as step back to allow him to be just as much a part of birth. Everything else we will discuss.
