About me

My name is Cheryl Alphonse, and I’m a Newborn Care Specialist with over 15 years of experience supporting families through one of the most transformative times in life—welcoming a new baby. Originally from the island of St. Lucia, I bring a nurturing, intuitive approach to newborn care, blending traditional, heart-led caregiving with modern, evidence-based practices. I’ve had the honor of caring for singletons, twins, triplets, and premature babies, and I specialize in creating calm, structured routines that support healthy sleep, feeding, and bonding. My philosophy is rooted in love, patience, and empowerment. I believe every baby is unique and every parent deserves to feel confident, supported, and rested. Whether I’m helping a first-time parent understand feeding cues or guiding a family through sleep transitions, I approach my work with compassion, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity. I’m also trained in lactation support and currently pursuing my degree in Behavioral Health Science with an emphasis on Infancy and Early Childhood Studies to continue deepening my knowledge and care. My goal is always to create a peaceful environment where both baby and family can thrive.

Cheryl is incredible! As a first time mom, I had no idea what I was doing. I am somebody who needs a lot of sleep in order to function, and my husband has a very demanding job so we decided to hire a night nurse for a few weeks to help us out. Cheryl taught me everything I need to know about how to be a mom to my daughter. She was so helpful that we ended up keeping her for three months! By the time Cheryl left, I felt fully confident and taking care of my daughter (who slept 12 hours straight a night thanks to Cheryl.) You can see and feel how much Cheryl loves her job and loves babies. I will be forever grateful to her and will be having her back for any future babies 🤍
