I am a first-time mom who will be delivering by C-section around November 10th due to a rare, serious complication (vasa previa). I plan to give birth in a hospital and due to some mental and physical health challenges I feel, from my research, that a doula would be the way to go. This is my first pregnancy and I don’t know what to expect. I’m not even sure where to start with budget. I’m on the lower income side so I’m not sure if I can even afford doula services. My ideal birth plan is to labor in a hospital, with as little pain as possible, however we need to make that happen. I have an extreme fear of childbirth.

Someone who is cpr certified is a requirement, and at least 10 years experience with newborns. Good transportation is a requirement as well as a welcoming and peaceful spirit.
